  1. Hi, I currently have the g502 but have ordered the castor because the g502 is too heavy and for me it is uncomfortable. My pinky and ring finger feel so out of place on such a narrow mouse with the right side of the mouse(where the 2 finger go) being sort of curved in which makes it so I cannot get my ring and pinky finger in a comfortable position, and they kinda drag on the mousepad. I think I have a palm grip with my ring and pinky fingers clawed. If you like heavy mice you will like the g502, as even without the extra weights in it's still pretty heavy. Other than those issues, the rest of the mouse is fine no problems and have had it for over 6 months. Hope that helped a bit.
  2. Hmm... do you have any suggestions for 60hz Freesync monitors by any chance? Thank you Edit: What do you think about the LG 29UM67 29"? It has FreeSync, is 60Hz but is ultrawide and is 2560*1080 instead of 1440
  3. Ok thank you for the response. Will listen to some more views before settling
  4. Yeah I heard about the chip that needs to be in monitors, was just wondering if there was actually a performance difference but seeing there isn't, will just stick with the AMD card. Hmm yeah but wouldn't it be better to buy a higher refresh rate monitor just in case I upgrade GPU in the future that may push it above 60fps? thanks for response
  5. Hi, I intend on buying an AMD GPU (r9 390) so I would like to know if a Freesync monitor with high refresh rate (144hz) is worth it over getting a standard non-Freesync 60hz. Also is G-Sync better than Freesync and if so, does it justify the $200-300 (AUD) extra you pay for it? I'm pretty new to this so if you need any clarification please ask. I would mainly use this monitor for casual use (no editing etc.) such as using the internet but also for gaming (League of Legends at the moment, will probably pickup mainstream titles in the future) so I was wondering if the refresh rate and screen tearing would be that noticeable. Sorry for any mistakes in wording. Currently I'm considering the Acer H257HU (25 inch but is an option), BenQ GW2765HT both of which do not have FreeSync, but if FreeSync is really that good I will look for FreeSync monitors. I'm open to any suggestions and recommendations. Thanks for your time
  6. Ok, thanks for the explanation. I think I'm going to overclock then, hopefully it isn't too hard. Luckily there is Seasonic in Australia, I added the G-Series in my build
  7. Hi, Is overclocking worth it? Because I heard it will decrease the CPU's lifespan. How much of an improvement will I see in actual usage? Because I could take out the cooler and maybe swap the mobo to make it a little cheaper. Also when you say the 500B and 600B aren't good for a build like this, what do you mean? Thanks for the reply. I'll swap the gpu definitely now as another member has also suggested the same.
  8. Hi, Any reason for the older generation CPU? Wouldn't the newer one be better for future flexibility?
  9. The power supply I chose is actually Be Quiet! Pure Power L8 500W Power Supply, But i couldn't find it in the parts so I put the EVGA one instead. As for the GPU, I may consider it but for some reason I've always leaned towards Nvidia cards but if the difference in performance is that big I may change it. I also heard that the 390 consumes a lot more power but again if it can be justified by the performance improvement then I don't mind. Thanks for the reply.
  10. Hi, I'm from Australia and I'm looking to build my PC myself with $1600 AUD spent on parts. I will be using this PC for casual use (i.e. Youtube, Internet browsing) and some pretty light gaming (right now only League of Legends but may pick some other games up in the future). The display I want to use for this build is a 27 inch 1440p display at 60Hz. I wish to have 60 fps+ at high settings for most games. The build (looking for help to change parts as needed, as I'm new to this): [PC Hound Part List](https://pchound.com/uen8N7/) (Edit: Changed PSU, GPU. 11. Ok thanks I'll keep this is mind. i will probably buy the K70 and Logitech G502. Are there any other things you would change with my build?
  12. Ok thnx. Changed the ram. I don't really like the aesthetics of the G1 and I have read many horror stories about their cards. I wanna stick with the Asus as they have always been reliable, even if it means paying a bit extra. Do u have any ideas for the mouse and keyboard? Currently I am deciding between Filco Majestouch ninja, Corsair K70 and Das Keyboard 4 professional all in Cherry MX Brown for the keyboard and Logitech G502, Mionix Naos 7000 for the mouse. Any additional suggestionals will be appreciated. Thanks for the reply again
