  1. Damn I might be willing to do that but idk where I would even get a new layer.
  2. It looks like a crack to me but has no feel to it on the screen.
  3. Hi, I can't tell if this monitor i have is a dead pixel or crack or dust behind the screen what do you guys think. Only shows up though on certain colors like i can't see it on fully white screen.
  4. Also found CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 32GB (4x8GB) DDR4 3600 (PC4-28800) C16 1.35V Desktop Memory - Black : Amazon.ca: Electronics which is 4 sticks of 8gb.
  5. No xmp wasnt enabled i cant even boot with it on.
  6. Yeah i am definitely planning on 32gb im sick of almost being at my ram cap most games i play my system is using around 13-15gb of my 16gb of ram anyways. I want the extra headroom. Is this a good kit to buy Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (2 X 16GB) DDR4 3200 (PC4-25600) C16 1.35V Desktop Memory - Black : Amazon.ca: Electronics? Don't want to break the bank
  7. MemTest86-20221117-001708.logIs the log it made from running.
  8. Just trying to diagnose this because i had planned to buy new ram because i want 32gb cuz my 16gb is almost always being really close to being fully utilized while gaming, and need to figure if its a mobo issue or my ram sticks cuz best case is ram has the issue i think.
  9. I did a windows memory diagnostic and a memtest just the standard test last night and it threw back no errors.
  10. I actually do have another set of ram here that i could try and see if it works only thing is i don't think its a perfect comparison because the ram in question has 4000mhz as its xmp profile whereas my old ram I could test only runs at 2400mhz xmp so its not nearly as high of a speed. So if the issue was with the ram running at too fast a speed i still couldn't tell.
  11. Alright if I got one working with xmp in all slots it would be safe to assume that one of the ram sticks was dead not the motherboard slots for the ram?
  12. My PC Fell over a little bit ago and ever since my ram won't run at the same xmp profile it used to before I'm running the patriot viper 4000mhz ram. Basically if I enable xmp profile at all the PC won't boot motherboard turns yellow light to red for a bit then posts in safe mode at 2133. I'm wondering if this is likely a ram issue and it just got blasted from falling or something. I tried manually going in and lowering the ram speed and got it to boot at around 3000mhz but it felt unstable so I'm just running at 2133 still. Should I buy new ram or is it more likely the mobo is damaged, it fell a decent distance onto hard floor on the side of the back of the mobo. The rams outer housing kind of fell apart a bit but I can't tell if that was from the fall or the heat inside the case just melted off whatever held it together. Thanks for any replies in advance.
  13. Two different sets of ram seems as though xmp no longer works so that's awesome just hangs my PC and won't boot when it's enabled
  14. From testing it seems to me a port of ram on the mobo is dead I have a spare set of ram and it won't even boot when plugged into the fourth port.
  15. Yeah I pulled the battery out and it booted without issue only thing is I realized the issue comes back if I try to use xmp profile for my ram
  16. Last night my dogs pulled my Ethernet cord and pulled my PC over and it fell a decent distance onto the hard floor on the backside panel. After that it would no longer boot everything was still receiving power but just wouldn't display anything my motherboard was receiving a solid yellow light . I then tried removing GPU ram and switching slots and then discovered it also wouldn't boot if I had a one of my ssds sata cables plugged in so I swapped It for a new one, think that helped because it booted and I got display. But now everytime I turn it on it hangs out the yellow dram light and flashes from yellow to red for like 1 minute and then starts booting. I'm not sure if this is a ram faulty thing or what. If anyone can provide some insight that would be much appreciated
  17. Yeah ive wanted to get a better more accurate monitor for a while and upgrade from TN panels basically the only monitors I've ever used were TN. I was just trying to do research and see if its going to even be a worthwhile upgrade over my current one and if it was which monitor to get.
  18. Yeah i originally wanted to go 4k 144hz but the monitors are too expensive and my 3080 i doubt can output that in all or even very many games. The dell one you linked seems like it looks nice its on sale as well for me atm for 32% off. What is the important thing I need to look for when it comes to new monitors to get nice and vibrant colors on the display.
  19. Hi, I was looking for help and suggestions on a new monitor to get. I currently have a Dell S2417DG 1440p 165hz G-Sync Tn Panel Gaming Monitor. However I was looking to either try and get another monitor either 1440p similar refresh rate or 4k at 60hz. The main thing I'm looking for overall in a new monitor is one that has better color display. I find with this one I see lots of color banding in dark environments and I feel as though the colors that do appear always seem a bit washed out even with significant tweaking and was wondering what a good upgrade would be. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated buying a monitor or looking to buy one always feels so challenging. The couple I was looking at so far were, https://www.amazon.ca/Asus-Gaming-VG27BQ-Monitor-DisplayPort/dp/B07WQ4FXY9/ref=sr_1_11?crid=32CG455MCYWCW&keywords=1440p%2Bva%2Bmonitor&qid=1644187220&sprefix=1440p%2Bva%2Bmonito%2Caps%2C76&sr=8-11&th=1 & https://www.amazon.ca/Asus-Gaming-Vg289q1a-Monitor-Adaptive-Syn/dp/B083Z2RPB9/ref=sxin_14_ac_d_rm?ac_md=1-1-NGsgZ2FtaW5nIG1vbml0b3I%3D-ac_d_rm_rm_rm&crid=2377PHP2ICSQS&cv_ct_cx=4k+monitor&keywords=4k+monitor&pd_rd_i=B083Z2RPB9&pd_rd_r=0f74f0b3-1326-465d-b440-e44faf8a7d23&pd_rd_w=Bn9wO&pd_rd_wg=DwGyJ&pf_rd_p=9d3bab83-da21-4400-9769-ce78809c5afe&pf_rd_r=SXCA2103XQRTMCM5M4T3&psc=1&qid=1644187491&sprefix=4k+monito%2Caps%2C87&sr=1-2-12d4272d-8adb-4121-8624-135149aa9081
  20. I may have figured out part of the issue if anyone ever looks at this and is wondering, the equalizer settings for my specific arctis 7 seem to cause the crackly noise on ANYTHING besides the flat preset. It seems to be the 180 eq that actually causes the crackling noise. Guess I just can't change my settings.
  21. Hi, I have a arctis 7 headset that is wireless and I am experiencing some distortion or like crackly vibratey audio for lack of a better word, when certain low or high pitched sounds play. For example I today am launching skyrim and the main menu noise as it boots up distorts and sounds crackly quite badly. As I actually play I hear it too when bassey sounds play. I have tried to troubleshoot this myself and I have found that if I plug the headset in directly to 3.5mm jack it doesn't make the sound. I have also tried disabling WIFI on my PC and trying every usb port and unplugging everything else besides it. For note my router to my house is in the same room as my PC so I don't know if thats causing problems or not. I tried another headset on this PC with the same usb port and it doesn't make the noise either. Is this a hardware issue with the headset or is there some fix I can do? If anyone is able to help I'd appreciate it a lot. Thanks in advance.
  22. I have tried changing almost everything I believe and doesnt seem to fix the issue. Plugged in my g pro x and the voice is way better with all the same settings.
  23. Hi, I just recently bought some astro a50's and i really like the headset for comfort and sound quality but my friends are saying the microphone on discord sounds bad or not as good as my previous one. The main thing I don't understand though is that my microphone sounds pretty good when I use it and record in audacity. I sent it to my friend and he said that's not how I sound on discord. Anyone have any fixes or tips to maybe help with this issue.
  24. This may be a stupid question, I'm not even sure doing this is possible but I figured I'd ask to be sure. I have a very poor home internet connection and cannot get anything better until starlink is available in my area hopefully soon. So I am forced to hotspot my phone for connection to game with but I was wondering if it's possible for me to use my hotspot from my phone to game with and then use my regular connection for everything else simultaneously. So like have discord running off of my regular internet and then all games playing off of hotspot in order to reduce data consumption. Like I said maybe it's a stupid question and not possible but figured I'd ask anyway. Thanks for any replied in advance.
