  1. So I got around to do your suggestion of removing the top fan and it dropped 4C. I also tested it with and without the top cover. Top cover Off, same as before, Top cover On, same temp as removed fan. So I removed the fan and added the top. Thanks
  2. He was more concerned with treats. He doesn't really get on top of running case, this one is more under a desk. I have a Meshify C with no top filter, it's very clean, so I'm not worried about it. If it does become a problem though I have some Demci filters that I can probably use.
  3. I'll check it out when I do a cleaning in a month or so, thanks.
  4. Did some searching, found out that the Noctua D15 fits in the Nano S. Nice! This is a gaming PC that is part of another build built in a new case with a few new things. Previous BUILD! PC SPECS CPU: Ryzen 5 1600XCPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 SE-AM4Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-AB350N-Gaming WIFIRAM: GeIL EVO X 16GB (2x8GB) 2933MHzStorage: Samsung EVO 850 250GB SSD, Seagate 2TB HDD Sleeved Extentions: EZDIY-FABGPU: PowerColor Red Dragon RX 580 8GBCASE: Fractal Design Define Nano S PSU: Corsair SF450 with Silverstone SFX to ATX AdapterMouse/Keyboard: Cooler Master CM Storm Devastator Gaming BundleFans: Corsair Quiet Series White LED Fans Cat: Sirius Sleeved cables are from Amazon, EZDIY-FAB set for $29.99, they are not bad at all J&D [3-Pack] 15 Pin SATA Power Extension Cable, Male to Female Cable – 10 inch, Black (3 Pack) Fan hub is a SilverStone PWM Fan Hub System Cables, Black (CPF04) The ram is very tall, I didn't hook up the RGB on it because I know it won't be seen well The motherboard connector placements are really bad! I don't like them at all. I remove the front USB and Audio cables to help with space Everything will be left at stock Sirius helped a little
  5. My layout is 2x120 in from with Corsair H105, 2x120 on top because at the time I had a Bluray rom so that is what I could fit, 1x120 on back and 1x140 on bottom. The bottom 140 was mainly because it is a Noctua fan and I didn't want the money I spent on it to feel like it was just sitting there. They are all Noctua fans though. I can't really tell you the temps with/without and having different areas because I don't want to move them around for science but I don't have any temp issues. Your layout would be better because you don't have hard drives and a rad blocking air flow. I don't know about that 2nd bottom one though, I personally wouldn't do it. You can always just experiment of course.

Nothing new, nothing upcoming that I can see. B…

there is nothing no new and cool tech that I want that is coming out besides the black Noctua coolers and fan hub but we don't have an eta on those. The only thing that I need to save up for is storage, because I'm running low. I have no reason to do a new build because I don't need one so it's really boring!

  8. I think that I have posted all of my builds, no real updates going on at the moment. Boring!

  9. Thanks I just have been on a EVGA kick lately. I think that price was something as well, but I can't remember. Definitely no issues with the Corsair you would buy.
  10. He was mainly gaming, eventually he started to record his gameplay, then lastly he got an Elgato card. If you mean why did he "upgrade" from FX-8350 to FX-8370? I just don't know. I told him it was the same CPU but overclocked a few and he wanted it anyways. He wanted something new when it comes to the GPU stuff. lol I didn't have to play on it I build for a friend and he didn't seem to have any issues, I wanted to start him off on a FX-6100 but budget didn't allow at that time.
  11. I render my blurays, do some basic editing, some single player gaming and use for a plex server. PC SPECS (PCPARTPICKER LINK) CPU: Ryzen 7 1700X at 3.8GHz Thermal Paste: Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut CPU Cooler: Corsair H105 Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix X370-F Gaming Ram: GEiL EVO X RGB 16GB @ 3200MHz Storage: 960 EVO M.2 250GB (OS), Seagate 2TB HDD (Storage and Single player games), 2x4TB Seagate NAS Raid1 GPU: XFX RX 580 8GB Case: Fractal Design Define R6 PSU: EVGA GQ 650w Fans: Noctua fans, because I like them! Future Plans More storage! I want to get 2x6TB or 8TB drives to add Waiting on new Noctua Fan hub Waiting on new Noctua D15 Black CPU Cooler Would like to get different RAM and will need to with the D15 MORE PICTURES *I did remove the bluray drive to make external since I don't need it that often and put the fan controller on top. I also added a 140mm Noctua fan on the bottom to add more air, even though it was just fine before. I wish that I remembered to take more pictures of the building but I guess I was distracted and in a hurry to get it done for whatever reason, and just completely forgo
  12. Built this PC a long time ago for someone, it has been through a lot and seen horrors but it was nice for that time being, way back then. Decided to show the road leading up to, like everyone else upgrading from the FX series trying to find a better path while sticking with AMD. Started 2012/2013: FX-4100 Cooler Master 212 EVO GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 Rev1.1 G.SKILL Sniper Series 8GB, 1866MHz Seagate 1TB HDD HIS Radeon HD 7850 NZXT Phantom 410 Rosewill Hive 750w LG DVD Burner Updates 2014-2016: FX-8350 Corsair H100i 8GB more to make 16GB RAM (not all sticks are shown in image) Sapphire R9 290X Samsung EVO 250GB SSD 2017: RX 480 FX-8370 *will try to get pics* Upgrade to Ryzen 2018: (PCPARTPICKER LINK) Ryzen 5 1600 @3.8GHz Corsair H100i V2 Asus STRIX B350-F GAMING Corsair Vengeance RGB 16GB, 3000MHz XFX RX 580 8GB Samsung 860 EVO 500GB SSD Seagate IronWolf 4TB HDD Phanteks ECLIPSE P400 T.G. 13. Just wanted to share, not too many pictures, basic build here, nothing too fancy. I am thinking of switching up some colors around my desk station, need something different than all black. I will start by getting a White Meshify C soon. PC SPECS (PCPARTPICKER LINK) CPU: Ryzen 5 1600X Thermal Paste: Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut CPU Cooler: Corsair H105 Motherboard: Asus ROG Crosshair VI Hero Ram: G.Skill Trident Z RGB 16GB @ 3200MHz Storage: 960 EVO M.2 250GB (OS), 850 EVO SSD 500GB (Multiplayer Games and game recording), Seagate 2TB HDD (Storage and Single player games) GPU: XFX RX 480 8GB (I'd like to upgrade but I'm not doing so in these dark times) Case: Fractal Design Meshify C PSU: EVGA 750w (Purchased smaller G3 PSU, just haven't installed yet) Fans: Noctua Chromax fans, because I like them. MORE PICTURES
  14. I would get different ram, based on color alone. Just me though
  15. Just wanted to get your thoughts on what I could possibly get for my PSU. EVGA SuperNOVA 1050w GS. I don't plan on having anything that needs that much power anymore. Right now it's just a backup PSU. 9.7 Rating on JonnyGURU Full Specs on EVGA
  16. These are not RGB, they are static Blue LED fans so they do not require anything separate to operate. It's much easier to buy a fan controller, fan hub or fan splitter to connect these into, rather than to find or use all of your motherboard fan headers.
  17. Meshify C is good. I had the Corsair Air 540, it was pretty nice! I liked it, I wanted to get the Air 740 after but didn't because monies at the time wouldn't allow.
  18. Have both, Meshify C is my vote.
  19. Yes, it will fit in the Meshify C. Meshify has 172mm limit. All good! Example
  20. Dark Rock 3 is 160mm. I wasn't going by fans, I was going by actual heatsink heights. Like you said, it could fit but it will definitely be hitting the side panel if it does. The R4 supports CPU coolers up to 170mm I'd get a different case, if it were my build. I have had a few Phanteks P400, they are okay, I just moved to more Fractal Design cases. Better air, imo.
  21. Max CPU Cooler is 160mm for the Phanteks P400 Dark Rock Pro 3 is 168mm Nope
