  1. My current build looks like this: Core i7-6700K Z170 Extreme4 LGA ATX Motherboard Ballistix Sport LT 16GB DDR4-2400 Memory Gigabyte Windforce GTX 970 Corsair RM 850w 80PLUS Gold PSU Will Adding an RTX 2070 to my machine get me to 1440p gmaing for most AAA titles? Thanks!
  2. Since I need a new board, no I don't think so. The board is gonna make my RAM, CPU, and cooler useless because of the new socket type.
  3. Yeah sorry if that was confusing. it's in a Razer NZXT S340. I do like the build tho! Thanks Everyone.
  4. Many moons ago I bought a Dell XPS machine with an i5-3450. It's in a new case, with a new PSU, new SSD, new HD, and GTX970. My board is on it's way out so I'll need a new one of those, new CPU, RAM and Cooler. I know I have a few options but I'm looking to get the most out of a $600 budget to just do 1080p gaming and some streaming. AAA titles, Wow, League, Overwatch, etc. maybe a little streaming. I will say my rig to date with 8gb RAM has ran any game I wanted to play at perfectly acceptable FPS, So I just wanna make sure I can play the next 5 years worth of games at with decent settings. Suggestions?
  5. Definately would use this as a pc in my workshop. Instead of looking crap up on my phone while tinkering, a full pc set up would be amazing!
  6. Yeah i see what your saying... i'd go to $550. but didn't consider the cooler. may just bite the bullet and piece it out over a few months. Thanks for your help!
  7. I was thinking skylake as well. This is what I was most wondering... if skylake was my best bet.
  8. lol. it's fine tho. But yeah, prolly.
  9. So I'll be upgrading these components over the next couple months and want to be sure I'm making the best choices. Currently I Have an old XPS system inside an NZXT H440 case w Corsair CX600 — 80 PLUS Bronze Power Supply and a Gigabyte GTX 970 Windforce. Pretty much a strict gaming rig typically playing a lot of AAA titles and would like to do some streaming. I'd like to spend about $500 on these three components. I know i have a few options. Very much appreciate any help!
  10. oh no problem. thanks for being patient while i figured that out.
  11. I'm going to be gaming and twitch/steam streaming mostly. I'll also work from home via Citrix or VPN on this machine running mostly web apps. I will store store less than 500gb of movies pictures and music and do some photo editing/graphic design in photoshop/illustrator.
  12. sorry, I don't need monitors or peripherals. I'm in the US. Building because my system cannot do what i want and cannot be upgraded.
  13. The only thing I know for certain about this build is that I prefer an intel processor and it has to fit in an NZXT h440 (because i already own the case). Otherwise, I wanna know your guys thoughts on single GPU streaming or if I'll really need a dual GPU solution or really just whats best for my budget. I'll be knew to streaming and have never had to consider it for a build so I'm not to certain of the additional strain it puts on the system and what required to overcome it. Thanks for your help in advance!
