  1. Where the hell can I buy a plain black side panel for my Prodigy M? All I can find is windowed panels for the Prodigy... Bitfenix didn't answer me when I mailed them about it. Do you have an idea? Also, I need it shipped in France so that can't help...
  2. I am upgrading my old "Media" PC : CPU : C2D E8400 RAM : 1x2GB MB : Asus P5B GPU : GTX285 Question is, which is the best? The AMD alternative : Or the Intel one : I am keeping my GTX285.
  3. That's what I thought. Thanks a lot.
  4. I have all the parts but the CPU : MB : MSI H87M-G43 GPU : Sapphire HD7950 RAM : 2x4GB Kingston HyperX PSU : OCZ ZT750 My question is, is the i5-4570 sufficient or is the i5-4670 really necessary? Do I spend or keep the 20-30€ difference?
  5. ok, thanks. H87+4670 then i guess, since I don't think I will be overclocking. What about the MSI H87M-G43? Also, I have a Asus DGX soundcard, is it still relevant or is the onboard soundcard on the same level?
  6. I am in the process of buying a new motherboard and I was wondering what were the actual differences between 1150 chipsets; namely B85, Z87 and H87? I buy my parts one by one when I have the money and it's the motherboard turn. The plan is: - Intel i5 4670 (maybe K) - 2x4GB KINGSTON DDR3 PC3-12800 - XMP Beast Series - AMD Radeon Sapphire 7950 3GB - Intel SSD 335 180GB - OCZ ZT750 PSU I already own the RAM, GPU, SSD and PSU. So, what's what with the chipsets? What are the differences? And which one should I consider if I am looking for a mATX board under 100€? Ask away if I forgot something.
  7. Well, 7950 then! Thanks a lot
  8. I'm torn Here are the 2 cards : http://www.pixmania.com/fr/fr/13359558/art/sapphire-technology/radeon-hd-7950-boost-3-go.html?merch=1&tduid=dca30ee3395c2aa1ce9ad80936bbb025#srcid=1&key=aUdxektnGRdcXlQlAzAHWw45MgdcRiUTGxEbPwMyZkkMBTIEbGJVXlchcklwJnZFMAYqLQ==&CodePromo=oui http://www.pixmania.com/fr/fr/13551696/art/pny/geforce-gtx-760-2-go-gddr.html Which one?
  9. hum... This is really weird. I never had that sort of a problem, and I installed a lot of windows (XP, 7) on a lot of different hardware. And my W8 laptop does not have that problem... I don't understand.
  10. I bought a Samsung 840 120GB last week and installed Windows 8 Pro 64b. Problem is, the system drive, or at least the "program files" folder, is in read only... It's actually really weird because steam installed games without a problem but supercopier or ultracopier wouldn't copy anything. Windows copy manager had no problems though it was sometimes asking for adminstrator confirmation(I am the admin). I installed call of duty 2 and 4 without a problem but the game couldn't write .cfg or mods in the default folder(had to go to appdata to find them). So i really don't know what is going on and it's really annoying. I also do not have that problem on my laptop (w8 Pro 32b). Is it the SSD somehow? Windows 8 64b?
  11. So something like this : CPU : AMD FX 4300 MB : Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 RAM : 2x2GB GPU : HD7770 PSU : Corsair CX430 Case : Fractal Design Core 1000 USB3 Total : around 360€ depending on vendor
  12. My friend needs a PC to game with a budget of 350€ (he might go up to 400€ if necessary; but let's stay on the least expensive possible option). No peripherals or monitor needed, I also already have a HDD. I came up with this : I'm not a expert in lower end CPU so a Celeron might perform as well for a lower price point, I don't know so you tell me. I also now nothing about AMD CPU so feel free to suggest an AMD build. The case is the only part I know I want to keep; I have no particular love for the rest so suggest totally different builds if they are more appropriate. Also, I live France. I don't think there's a big price gap between North america and Europe; suggest the parts and I'll adjust depending and price and disponibility. I think I covered the basics. Ask away if I missed something.
  13. I have a OCZ ZT750. Are ZX and ZT cables compatible? It looks like it (from the pic above and the back of my ZT) but i'd like to be sure.
  14. [1] http://www.topachat.com/pages/detail2.php?cat=micro&rubrique=wgfx_pcie&ref=in10058509&origine=clubic Current build : [2] http://imgur.com/W88LKFF + Arc Midi Case + OCZ ZT750 PSU I'm not rich, so I'm trying to slowly upgrade, parts after parts. The final plan is i5 3570K + z77 mobo + 8GB RAM but I can't buy these parts separately and the combo is expensive so it'll come last. So, is said 7870 a good idea or not? What about overclocking? Crossfire?
