Hi guys, i recently bought a GTX 750 Ti for my core i3 system. My system Core i3 4160 Gigabyte B85M D3H 8GB RAM(2x2GB+1x4GB) WD 1TB HDD Seasonic Eco 400W PSU So when i went to the shop the shop owner asked me about my motherboard. And he said that as my motherboard has 4 phase power there shouldn't be a problem with the power phases being in high load. And he also said that if it was a 3 phase board he wouldn't recommend using a GTX 750 Ti as all the power comes through the board instead of a PCI E connector. And now i'm afraid to use the Graphics card in it's full power as it might load the phases too much. Is this true ? I thought the power phases are important only when overclocking the CPU. Can someone clarify this. Thank you.

Memory and System Stability
chanuka3949 replied to chanuka3949's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Yes i checked with all those configurations. And when i boot it without any memory the motherboard beeps as there isn't any DIMMs populated. So that lead to the CPU not working right ? And i heard that the Memory controller is in the CPU which i can assume is damaged as the memory is not recognized correctly. So is it safe to use 3 DIMMs. Will it cause and instability in the system ? Should i just use 4 Gigs ? -
Hi, I recently upgraded my old system with new Motherboard, Processor and Graphics Card. My old system died after detecting wrong memory capacity(The same memory config i used for more than 1 year). It did not boot after that(It was a bit lagging the last time it booted so checked for dead memory in Computer properties). The configuration was Kingston 8GB 1333MHz (2x2Gb + 1x4GB) Old system Intel DH55HC Core i5 760 My new system specs are Gigabyte B85M D3H Core i3 4160 Palit GTX 750 Ti I'm currently running 4GB(2x2GB) in my system. Thought of using the other stick. Will this lead to another failure in my system ? Can this configuration damage my system or the memory controller ? I plugged it in once and the system detected dual channel config even though i don't 4 sticks. Should i just use the 4GB instead of the 8GB. Will be playing DOTA 2 most of the time. But my Kaspersky seems to be eating up some memory so wanted to upgrade. Thank you.

I recently installed Windows 10 in my old HDD. And enabled Windows 8 OS in BIOS. When i enable secure boot, even when CSM mode is disabled my system information page says secure boot state is off. How can i fix this ? Is it something to do with old HDD and Optical drive ?

Hi, i'm planning to buy a new HDD(this SATA 2 one is really slow in read speeds because of heavy usage), and my motherboard is Gigabyte B85m D3H. As it supports UEFI i'm thinking of installing Windows 10 with GPT partition scheme. What's the main difference between GPT and MBR. What are the performance differences between these two. Would you recommend WD or Toshiba HDDs (1TB) Thank you

Why does some people bash palit so much ? Is it a PNY rebrand ? How would you compare it to other popular brands like Asus, Gigabyte, MSi ?

Hi, i'm upgrading my current pc and i need to choose between these graphic cards. Palit GTX 750 TI - http://www.palit.biz/palit/vgapro.php?id=2252 ZOTAC GTX 750 TI -http://www.zotac.com/products/graphics-cards/geforce-700-series/gtx-750-ti/product/gtx-750-ti/detail/geforce-gtx-750-ti.html Well the palit has so many reviews but when i google it all ifind is some discussion about the hd 4800 failing. Zotac on the other hand have both good and bad reviews. Some people say that the hd4800 had bad batch. I'm not looking for performance. I want the one with the best build quality and reliability Which one would suite me perfectly? Thank you in advance everybody

Hi, i'm upgrading my old PC with the below specs. I need to choose between the FSP Hexa+ 550W and the Seasonic SS500BT PSUs Here are my specs Core i3 4160 Gigabyte B85 HD3 Kingston 8 GB 1333MHz Asus R7 260X DC II 1TB HDD 650VA UPS Antec GX 500 case Which one of these PSUs suite best for my system. FYI these are the only good PSUs available in my area and online purchase isn't good because of the high tax rates The Seasonic is a bit old and have NCC 85 C caps on the first half of the PSU so would that be an issue Review So which of the PSUs would you guys recommend ? Please give your thought to weather i should go for a Sapphire r7 360 instead of the Asus one. Will the UPS be able to power my system ? Thanks
