  1. Oh man. I hear you, but I couldn't live without game stream. I've sunk too much in to the shield ecosystem.
  2. This makes sense to me. Perhaps a titan is a tad irresponsible for a gaming rig. Throwing another 980 in seems to be the winning opinion.
  3. Hello! I'm looking for some advice on a GPU upgrade. I'm currently running a Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX 980 (which i love), along with a system that's not going to bottleneck it and a single 4k monitor. I'm in a spot where I can put some more cash into my system, and would like to be able to crank gaming settings to the max (or at least higher than I can now) and still maintain a decent frame rate. I'm considering 2 options: 1. Sell the G1 and buy a Titan X. I'm thinking the 12 gigs of gddr5 would spell better textures for my 4k monitor (not to mention the faster clock allowing me a bit more freedom with the gaming display sliders). 2. Buying a second G1 gaming and running the two in SLI. I hear a lot of people say that the single high end gpu setup is usually the best way to go, but I imagine I'd get some decent scaling on a second 980. If it matters: I will be OCing whatever arrangement I settle on. Also, I have a ridiculously large tower with a lot of breathing room. I call out to the masters of the forum for guidance. Which option should I take, or should I consider some other option altogether? -rev
  4. It's an Antec 80+ gold. That's good news! Thanks a lot for the help, man.
  5. Everyone here is so helpful to noobs like me! I was hoping you might be able to help me determine what wattage PSU I should be looking at for my first build...The build is as follows (btw...I've currently got a 750w supply on standby...but I'm having second thoughts on whether or not it's going to be enough): ps...I know this build isn't exactly price point to performance optimized, but I'm learning....slowly.... Rampage IV Black Edition 4930k (that I'm hoping to push to the limits) Windforce g1 gamer gtx 980 (that I'm hoping to push to the limits) 4 x 4GB tactical tracers (leds on top) 3 corsair LED 140 fans, 2 corsair LED 120 fans attached to an H100 BluRay optical Samsung 850 pro series ssd and a strip of molex powered leds I feel like 750w might be pushing it....but I'm having a bit of trouble with the calculator I'm using---I'm hoping you guys can help out! Thanks in advance!
  6. RIght, so I guess my question is how "well" will they work together without having been validated to work together? Is it safe to assume 4 unvalidated sticks of the same memory will work as well (or very nearly) as a validated set?
  7. Hello All, First time poster, here. I'm hoping you can help me with an issue I'm having: I've been collecting parts over the past 3 or 4 months in anticipation of my first build. I have gone with a blue motif in a graphite 760t case. I would absolutely LOVE to stick some tactical tracers in my mobo (rampage IV black). My board supports quad channel memory, so I obviously want to take advantage of that, but crucial doesn't make quad channel kits for their tactical tracers! My question: If I purchase 2 dual channel kits at the same time, will the timing be close enough for me to run them in quad channel? If not, is this something I could set up through my bios? Is vanity getting the better of me? Should I go with something else? I would appreciate any help you guys might be able to lend!
