  1. Well obviously the higher graphics settings.. the better. I'm mostly just saying I'm not expecting too much.
  2. So I'm building this computer for a family member. I just want them to be able to run games smoothly at low to medium settings. Games like: Minecraft, CSGO, Rust and League of Legends. Here is what I have so far: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Adorza/saved/yY72FT Let me know if you think this is a solid build or what you would change. Thank you.
  3. How would I get it onto the desktop though? Flashdrive?
  4. Would that just be on the bottom of the laptop.. also is there a way to use the key in exchange for something I could insert into the fresh build?
  5. Good point. Maybe I'll just take my chances building then.
  6. Another question.. How should I go about getting an Operating system? It's like $80 for a new one.. is there another way?
  7. I'm a new builder, would that case be a safe bet? Otherwise looks pretty solid!
  8. I was thinking more along the lines of getting something already built. Someone selling their old rig for a new kind of deal. This appeals to me because I've never actually built a gaming computer from scratch before and would be relying on how well I can follow a YouTube video/ instructions. Also it would typically cost less for better parts since they are used.
  9. Thanks! Looks solid + always nice to find products with good reviews
  10. It's not going to be my money, it's my parents.. I'll just be figuring out how to build it lol. I'm saving for a high end build in the future so this would be good practice for me. I'm mostly focused on him just being able to play games smoothly at around low to med settings.
  11. Just a thought, was wondering how you felt about finding a gaming rig on Craigslist? Is it worth the risk and what should I look for as red flags if I was to go that route?
  12. Thanks guys! I'm going to start comparing parts and stuff before I decide. I have a good foundation now I think.
  13. All he can play is Minecraft right now on his computer but it doesn't run it well and I'd like for him to be able to try out other, more demanding games. I can't wait for the 470 because this build will be happening as soon as I decide on the parts in time for his birthday. I like your build, Zyndo! I might try and find a case/monitor on Craiglist though to be able to afford more on the parts.
  14. So I need help finding or building a computer for a younger gamer. He'd like to be able to run games smoothly at low to medium settings. Games like: Minecraft, CsGO, Rust and League of Legends. Here's one computer I found: http://www.dell.com/us/eep/p/inspiron-3656-desktop/pd?oc=dedccz301bso&model_id=inspiron-3656-desktop Is this good? Do you know anything better? Anyone have a part lists in this price range?
  15. Looking to build a computer for my brother. He's currently using a crappy laptop that struggles to run Minecraft. His birthday is coming up and want to give him something that can run better and enable him to try out more games. At this price range I'm not expecting to be able to play on max settings or anything, just something that can play games smoothly at lower to mid settings. Games like: Minecraft, Rust, League of Legends and CSGO, etc. I don't know where to start with this build because most of my knowledge is in the higher tier parts, so I don't have a build plan yet.. I need suggestions.
  16. should I show a list of my processes? I don't see any that would be a related source but I'm not really sure.
  17. Yes.. I've done that and it does it again.
  18. So as the title says, when I open CounterStrike: GO a black screen pops up for a second like it's going to open but then goes away. If I try to start up CSGO again, it will tell me that it's already running. So, I open my task bar and it's in the background processes. I close it out and try again.. and again.. and again. Sometimes restarting my computer would help me load it for around one game before it crashes or freezes and can't play it anymore, so then i have to close it when I open it, it goes back to background processes. I "upgraded" to windows 10 from Windows 8 for a day.. CSGO ran fine and opened and was playable (yay) but I had other issues with the OS and went back to Windows 8.. where my problem resumed. I've tried uninstalling CSGO and re downloading it (no luck), I've tried verifying the integrity (no luck), I've looked and found no updates for my graphics card drivers.. I'm at a loss. I'm not very good with computers and don't know what else to try. PLEASE HELP! I really love this game.
  19. So I got Black Ops 3 for PC and I love the gameplay but I get really bored because no one seems to talk on there. Anyone with a decent mic 18+ want to play?
  20. I can normally get along with 16+ without them going too stupid.. but younger then that I have a curse. Maybe it's because I'm snarky, I dunno. I'm just sick of it.. like I said I just want to play competitive without the bullshit.
  21. Sounds great, how old are you?
  22. I'm not good enough to play with DMG
  23. Yeah I about just quit today but I think I'll at least try to rank up. It's just hard when the team goes stupid and starts throwing.
