  1. about 6 hours in, and it hasn't Black screened. If it was gonna black screen, it probably would've done it by now. Uninstalling AI Suite, and Ryzen Master, seem to have work!
  2. This is followup to my post from yesterday. I got most of it figure out, the only problem that remains, is the black screen crashing. Here's all the info I can give right at this moment 2700x @ 3.7ghz on 1.21v Asus Rog x470-f, bios is up to date Corsair Vengeance LED 16gb 3000mhz RAM STRIX GTX 1080 latest drivers Corsair RM750i Programs installed: GeForce experience Asus ai suite 3 Ryzen master iCue MSI afterburner Coretemp Steam battlenet And alot of games. At first, I thought the black screens only happened while gaming, but it black screened while I was afk, and everything was idle. From what I understand, there are many variables that can lead to the black screen. 1.Ryzen Master, and Ai Suite. Both of which I'm gonna Uninstall when I get I get home. 2.icue, could be causeing the problem, 3.the ram could the issue, but which I really hope it isn't because I can't really afford new ram ATM Any other ideas on potential Fixes?
  3. But like I said. The core voltage is at 1.21 now, it's running at stock speeds, the fan issue I was having seems to have stopped. It's not going crazy. I think the XFR pushing it to 4.2ghz was the problem. Everything seems to be running fine now.
  4. I have my window open, its a bit chilly, so i'd say the ambient temp is about 15°c. i will be getting an AM4 bracket for my AIO, and some new thermal paste.
  5. Core voltage was at 1.4ghz when XFR was one, but since disabling it, it's gone down to 1.21v. Temps are also down now. 43° is where it's idling now.
  6. TheFlyingSquirrel, as soon as i get the AM4 mounting brackets for the H100i V2. Jurrunio, porina, XFR, game mode and the performance boost in the CBS section have been disabled, and it's running at the stock speed of 3.7ghz. I did some looking around in Ryzen Master, and discoverd the reason i was only getting 4c8t, was because when legacy compatibility is enabled, it disables 4 of the cores. So that's disabled now all 8 cores, and 16 threads are showing uo now. Hopefully it'll run smoother now.
  7. So i recently got a 2700x, and i've encountered problem after problem. First heres the specs 2700x w/ stock wraith prisim cooler Asus x470-f ROG mobo 16gb corisar LED DDR4 RAM 3000mhz GTX 1080 STRIX Corsair RM750i PSU Core voltage on the CPU is about 1.4v according to Ryzen Master. The first problem, the stock cooler goes all over the place. One moment it will be slient, next it'll run at 100%. Fanxpert 4 helps a little bit, but it still goes all over the place. The second problem, I'll be gaming, and my PC will go black, and completely unresponsive. Reset button doesn't work. The only way to reset is to flip the switch on the PSU The third problem, I know the 2700x can overclock the 4.2ghz, but i want to run it at 3.7ghz to see if it still crashes there, but it automatically goes to 4.2ghz with no settings changed. The fourth problem, after a reset, only 4 cores, and 8 threads are detected. I did the whole "win key>msconfig>boot>advanced options>uncheck number of processors", then reset, it'll got to 8c16t but when after i reset a 2nd time, it goes back to only 4c8t The fifth problem, CPU temps seem awfully high, it idles at 50°C, and hits 80°C while gaming, then it'll go black, and completely unresponsive. Not sure what else to do at this point. When it works, it works great, and i really want to keep it, but i'm kinda temped to go back to my 6600k, return the 2700x, and go with some other Intel chip if this is what Ryzen is going to be like.
  8. No luck. And i looked the comments, and found some other user settings to try, with no luck. pinned CPU, and slacking GPU.
  9. From benchmarks I've seen, a GTX 1080 should destroy Battlefield 1 at 1080p, with all details turned up, and achieve 130+fps, which is great for people like me, who wants 120fps, in as many games as possible. However when i look at Afterburner while playing BF1, my CPU is pinned at 100%, my GPU usage is all over the place,The problem isn't thermals, the fans on my radiator set fairly high, while gaming. Could this be a sign that, non-hyperthreaded quad cores are slowing becoming inadequate for gaming? Or could there be something wrong with my 6600k? EDIT: If forgot to mention that my framerates average about 80-90fps, and will sometimes go as high as 120fps, but that's about it.
  10. it says "an older version of corsair unity engine cannot be removed" I've removed every trace of it from my registry, it sill says that. Corsair support can't help, nobody on Corsair forums can help.
  11. I guess nothing ever looks as good as it does in promo pictures. I am very happy with the end result. Between the white case (or lack thereof), and black components, I also have my mouse, keyboard, and Mousepad RGBs doing a Fire and Ice theme. Red is my favorite color, and I know how overused Red & Black is in the PC world, so I tired to not do a complete Red/Black color palette.
  12. I'm gonna get a Strix 1080 with my tax return, and i want to get some CableMod cables to give my PC enhanced looks. I've been using the stock cables that came with my PSU (Corsair RM750i) and it has 2, 6+2 pin connectors on 1 cable, and would work just fine on a Strix 1080, but isn't exactly the best looking. I can't find an 8+6 Pin PSU cable, so my only choice is to get 2 separate, 6+2 Pin cables, and plug them both into the GPU. Obviously letting a 2 Pin connector hang. Will doing that not damage anything? This is a stupid question, i know. I just want to be sure, so i don't end up making a very expensive mistake.
  13. The 1070 had problems at launch? Lol wut? The only problem I remember having when I got my 1070, was not getting to bed at a decent hour, because I was high off of the amazing bliss my 1070 was projecting, and that caused me to be tired when I had to go to work.
  14. I don't know, but reinstalling drivers fixed it. I gotta remember to try that, whenever something is not working properly
