  1. hi I am building a PC for a friend who does editing he uses most of the Adobe master collection I've already looked into the CPU(i7 4790k) and ram(32gb) etc just need help on storage solution I've never really built a PC for purely editing built many for normal use and gaming but after research I've seen that there are a number of different storage solutions just wondering if someone could break them Down so I can understand why they are useful.i have seen storage solution that have 3 drive one for programs and os one for media and one for scratch but what exactly does that mean and why is it better.the solution I have chosen right now is a 240gb SSD for os and a 2tb HD for the project and large files Many thanks
  2. Ok thanks guys this isn't for me but for a friend his budget is MAX £1000 and does all sorts of work mainly photography.this is what part Iist I was considering: CPU:i7 4790k RAM:32gb hyper x 2400mhz Motherboard:MSI z97 gaming 3 GPU:gtx 970 PSU:600w corsair cxm SSD:crucial 250gb (hold os and amc) HDD:2TB(I choose this size as my friend always uploads files to the Adobe cloud as he travels around to show customers and clients) Case:nzxt s340 He also needs to run 3 monitors I'm pretty sure that card supports 3 screens but correct me if I'm wrong.
  3. im looking to build a PC and was wondering what the most important pieces of hardware for running Adobe master collection are.I do pretty much every program in Adobe master collection and was wondering wether a CPU is more used/makes most impact in performance than a better GPU so where should most of my money go to I don't do a lot of gaming but may do in the future. Thanks guys
  4. Yeh it is very loud and the temps of the CPU are reaching 70C+ so I would like it to be quieter and cooler.
  5. hi guys I need some help on how to set up the fans im going to be buying I have a zalman z11 case witch comes with 3 fans already one at the back, front and top it has space for another fan at the top and one at the bottom.im buying a hyper 212 evo to go with my fx8350 my mobo is a Asus m5a78lm/usb3 (possibly changing soon to a 990fx board) which has two fan connectors one 3 pin and one 4 pin,I'm also buying a dual pack of corsair af 120mm fans to go with the system to try and lower the noise right now it's only really load because of the stock amd cooler. i would like to know what the best fan config would be as in the end I would have 5 chassis fans (not including the hyper 212) If possible I would like to use all of them just not sure where to put them.ps there are also some sort of tiny fans on the side panels that I never really used and bare in mind there will now be 4 fans that use 3/4 pin connector the board only has 2 fan connector so will probably also be ordering a couple fan splitters. So far my options that I can think of that would be good are: Option 1: Front:1x corsair af 120mm Top:2x fans that came with case Back:1x corsair af 120mm Bottom:1x fan that came with case The front, back and one of the top ones will use the 3pin connectors along with the CPU fan.the rest will use molex. Option 2: Front:1x fan that came with case Back:1x corsair af Top:2x fan came with case And the other corsair fan will go on the hyper 212 evo in a push pull config What are you thought of these configs any suggestion if so I would also like the reasoning Many thanks guys much appreciated System: Fx 8350 R9 280x M5a78lm
  6. Yeh I was planning to get hyper 212 evo when I order them
  7. hi guys I have a fx 4100 in my system right now paired with a r9 280x and I was starting to notice I wasnt getting some of the FPS I should be getting.after doing some testing a realised that when playing some games like battlefield 4 or hardline beta I saw that my cpu was at 95-100% use where as my graphics card was at around 65-75% use (checked through afterburner) so I though it was time to upgrade.and my question is get a 8320 and oc it or get a 8350 the difference is £40 here on amazon so is it worth the extra money?also what fps difference will i see? Any advice would be appreciated system fx4100 r9 280x Asus m5a78lm/usb 600w psu
  8. No I never oc'ed my Gpu and never tried different outputs as my tv only has Hdmi ,the gpu was brought of eBay from a reputable seller that said they were around 6-9 months old I've had it for around a month and it didn't always happen because I never got the chance to play more intense games like left for dead 2 and payday and I have the latest drivers and no frame drops or artifacts Thanks for reply
  9. hi guys I have a asus r9 270(stock) and when I play some games like payday 2 or left for dead 2 I get a black screen it sometimes happens after a few minutes but sometimes straight away I really need help on how to resolve this.i have tried reloading the drivers, checked temps(around 60-65 under 90-100% load for 30mins), and uninstalled and reinstalled all games that it does not work on because it works when I play gmod or hearthstone. Any suggestions would be much appreciated System: A6 6400k R9 270 500w psu 1 ssd and 1HD
