  1. Hi, so my friends computer decided to go into an endless repair loop and was not able to get to the windows home screen at all. We are unable to disable secure boot, cannot boot into safemode, none of the other command prompt lines that have been suggested work, and resetting through the troubleshoot menu doesn't work. Next thing we tried to do was boot his computer into a HDD I had with a spare copy of windows on and while the BIOS recognizes it, it won't boot into the drive even though it works on my computer. So I managed to plug his SSD into my computer and transfer all of his personal files to an external HDD to save his files so we aren't worried about losing his files, and at this point I am wanting to completely wipe the drive and reinstall windows. We are installing off of an external hdd, but the issue I am having when I try to reinstall is I get to the activation key step, click I don't have one at this time and it completely freezes. When I restart and go back to that page and wait a bit then it freezes on its own. I am completely lost at this point and am not sure what to do. Any help would be appreciated. Specs of PC -i7-930 -16gb RAM -128gb Kingston SSD -1TB WD HDD -GTX 970
  2. The laptop I am currently using is a 2013 MacBook pro dual booted. It is a 15inch with a i7 and iris pro graphics. It works perfectly well for what I need it for which is school work and its eh at gaming. It runs most of the games I play. But there are a few which I want to play but I can't. I am going to University in the fall and I am studying pre-med. I want a laptop which will be light and easily portable, lighter than my mac which is about 4-5 pounds, something that is great for a student (considering a surface because of the pen for note taking), and can play all modern titles. I want to be able to play mk10, destiny 2, overwatch, dirt rally/4, ESO, and Elite Dangerous. What do you guys recommend I get or what should I do?
  3. I am looking for a windows 2 in 1 preferably something like a surface. I am looking at the surface 3 and hp x360 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00X9KPSKK?tag=laptop-magazine-20 I want something with decent power but the surface 3 doesnt have that, but it has the form factor I want where as the hp x360 has the power but not the form factor. I do want whatever the device is to have at least 128gb's of storage. I also know I will have to buy a keyboard for the surface. I am also a gamer, so something that can preferably run at least dungeon defenders 2, civ 5, maybe planetary annihilation, helldivers, gmod, csgo, dota 2, elite dangerous, and rocket leauge. If it doesnt run elite dangerous,or planetary annihilation, I will be fine, but I am hopeful for those. Any suggestions help. Thanks
  4. Update they tried downloading it and when it says 6 minutes left it goes and quits and says it can't complete the action
  5. So I taped a school performance and they want me to make it into 5 copies. I have made 1 copy into 2 parts(2 separate DVDs) Now they want to burn it from the 2 put it together and burn it onto a bigger dvd on a pc where I did it on a Mac. Is it possible or do you have to download it first
  6. So I ran the program. But it still has the gl get error problem
  7. I can't find gedit on my computer. I am new to linux and I tried to add it to the menu and its not there. And when I go to software manager it says it is installed.
  8. So I downloaded Counter Strike Source, Garrys Mod, and Team Fortress 2 on my Linux Mint 17 machine. It has 2GB's of DDR2 RAM, Intel Core 2 Duo, and a 82Q32 Integrated Graphics Controller. The Specs should work but when I try and run them I get "Could not find required OpenGL entry point 'glGetError'! Either your video card is unsupported, or you OpenGL driver needs to be updated." I have looked everywhere and tried to reinstall OpenGL for linux. My friend has a lot older laptop with way worse specs and can run those games fine on Windows XP. What do I do?
