  1. I am stuck. I have started moving my system to a much better case but I think my previous case had a fan controller. I can't figure out why I can't get any of my case fans to spin. Photo 1 is what I am building in. A lian li lancool 216. The next photo is the fan connection board that I've taken out of my old nzxt phantom 630 case which could just power all of the fans from a simple slider switch. Is there such a thing as a power cable that just connects from the motherboard to this fan connection board to just power all of the case fans at the same speed all the time from one header or am I too hopeful and I need to buy a fan controller? Lian li do one but I do not care for rgb at all. Can I connect all of this using that or should I think about a pwm (pcie slot?) fan controller. The fans are stock except for the obvious 4 x noctua NFA14
  2. Excellent, I had looked at this case last night but worried it may not fit. Thanks for the answer I bought one in the end!
  3. Thanks for the extensive answer but this is not the answer I was looking for.
  4. Budget (including currency): No limit (Within reason) Country: United Kingdom Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: System already built. I need a new case to fit what I already have. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Not needed. This is my current build. https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/6RzKsL It's great I love it. I don't love the size of the case anymore. and so I need a downsize. I want to remove some of the HDD's by consolidating my files on another faster drive eventually. And I imagine the cooler will have to be changed as well. Also the optical drive can go too. Open to suggestions for anything else.
  5. Apologies but I've found the issue. I needed to turn off show fingerprint on lock screen AS WELL AS raise to wake which are two different settings in 2 different menus. It's a shame because you can't have the slick looking "always on" look to the screen but to save my brain while driving it'll have to do. Also I believe peek display is for Motorola phones but thanks all the same. I'll leave this here for Googlers with the same issue.
  6. I've tried all the settings for moving the phone wake screen by turning them on and off in different orders but I can't seem to get my screen to not show the date and time when my phone is moved slightly. It's not exactly waking up the screen fully so it can be unlocked but it is turning on. I want to double the phone screen to do this because while I'm driving its pretty annoying. I've read that it could be a bug and it's not been patched which is pathetic. https://community.oneplus.com/wap/thread/1581177 ^ I've read a few but this one's the closest. Has anyone got any insight to fixing this? Thanks
  7. We tried the intel ones. But I'm thinking that the AMD ones might work too? What do you reckon?
  8. Ok I should probably go a bit further with my explanation. We have done this. Please see the original post. The antenna is in. The drivers have been uninstalled and installed. We have not tried command prompts YET because this is looking like a driver issue. We have found the correct drivers and restarted multiple times. Would have any sprinklings of your help to aid in my endeavour?
  9. Ah, There is a catch to this. We actually have a gigabyte b660m ds3h ax. Apologies. Will update the original post This one gigabyte
  10. https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/nTJHyK My friend and I just builit his first gaming PC using the above parts from a guide posted on PC partpicker. This isn't my first PC I've built, and it works just fine except for the one issue that Windows 11 is not showing any options what so ever for WiFi settings. This includes device manager, control panel network devices and we have tried installing the drivers and resetting the network to factory. I'm a little stumped as to where to go so any help on this would be much appreciated seeing as his parents would most likely like the PC out of their lounge space The antenna is in. The drivers have been uninstalled and installed. We have not tried command prompts YET because this is looking like a driver issue. We have found the correct drivers and restarted multiple times. Thanks!
  11. Thanks all for the suggestions so far. I will be looking at reviews and build guides for these in the next few days.
  12. I've been wanting to make my pc a little smaller physically for some time now. This is what I have at the moment. https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/RMq2sL But I want to stick it all inside of a "lian li o11 dynamic evo black" Will it work with clearances for the massive GPU / CPU cooler I have? I will say that I dont care for the DVD drive. That can stay out.
  13. Thanks for the reply. What if the front firing speakers weren't stereo? Is that still too much? Good shout on the Pixel 3 though that does look good.
  14. Yeah I know it extensive. The media things are most important to me. I did already say that I couldn't have it all though
  15. Out of this list these are the thing I had a problem with the 1+ I only took out 3 things from the original list but these are things that I didn't realise at the time that I needed from a phone.
