  1. Hello. Yes I've figured out the "problem" The harddrives are dead, I've tried them on my friuends computer and they didnt show on the motherboard or diskpart either. So basicaly i've killed my discs, and I think i've dont that with my powesupply. I have to turn it in for a new one because I can and I will. But all my data is lost and 4 disks are gone thanks to a unknown problem. I wonder if the powersupply company will buy me new disks.... It's a shame, but at least one 2TB drive works. Thanks for all the help
  2. Thanks for replying. I've tried to examine the whole computer by changing parts by parts and I cannot find anything wrong. I'm most definetly sure its the motherboard that is starting to die, but I dont understand why that had to do with my harddrives The harddrives became unusable when something weird happened to my watercooler. Cant figure out why the only harddrive that works is the one that startet smoking and ended my computer.
  3. Thank you Thats what Im going to do. I will update this thread when I figure things out. Holydays
  4. Hello I've tried to reset the BIOS via the CMOS battery twice. I also flashed my BIOS to the newest update and it's still the same. I've tried to replace my PSU and I also changed my GPU to my old one for testing and I still have the same problems. The motherboard connections are fine and I can power my computer with the powerbutton on my chassis with no problem now. But I cant get past the CSM Parametres that the BIOS wants me to do and it's a pain. Because the computer worked fine like 2 days ago with no problems whatsoever and then this happend when I tried to change my PSU because the computer sometimes didnt want to power on and I had to plug it out and plug in to start it.
  5. Some times the computer wont respond to the powerbutton and then I have to plug out the powersupply to try again. When it starts the computer wont detect any of my harddrives and one ssd that I have. I have 4 Harddrives and 1 SSD The message that I get when it starts up is " the current bios setting do not fully support the boot device " Then I have to go to advanced settings and do something, but everything i've done there does nothing good and I cant boot windows because the system dosen't detect anything. I also had this weird problem with my watercooling H100i and it just suddenly started smoking and I turned it off as fast as I could. The smell was like burnt rubber. It works, the pump works but the connections to the fans are not working (I think) So I just use the connections on my motherboard and they work fine. But the biggest problem is the system not detecting the drives. So the thing im about to do is to return the powersupply and get a new one. And probably get a new motherboard. Or even replace the watercooler.... My system is : Asus M5A97 R2.0 - Motherboard EVGA 750 B1 - Powersupply 2 - 2TB WD Green 2 - 500GB WD 1 - ShineDisc SSD 128GB Thanks for all the help I can get! I really love the site EDIT 1: 08 July Time has passed since the problems has occured. Now the problem I have is, is the computer not recognizing the harddrives i have plugged in. I have 4 Harddrives and one SSD. They were not working at all and didnt show up in the BIOS. I tried a lot of things, such as changing the powersupply. Changing the cables and trying them into different places on the motherboard. I tried also the SSD alone (The main Drive with Windows) Not so long a go I tried to plug in power to one of my harddisc when my computer was on. I didnt quite manage to plug it in and smoke started to come out and the computer shuts itself down. The disk was smelling like burnt rubber. So now I tried again with all of my discs connected to the motherboard and also the one that I tought was long gone. Only one discs worked, and that was the one I tried to plug in that made my computer shutdown and started to smoke.... I managed to install Widnows on that drive and now I can accses my computer with no problems... Now only 3 discs and 1 SSD remains and they do not show up anywhere on the PC I tried device manager. I tried Diskpart and I tried selecting drives when I downloaded windows. And only one drive shows up in BIOS
  6. I checked them both, its still like a ghost and I cannot do anything to that. I'll try that, and I do not use LN2
  7. I tried! I tried so many guides on how to do that, but the thing is disabled in my MSI afterburner, It's showing but I cannot access it
  8. Hello people, I have a weird problem that I have not found a solution to. The problem is that my monitor starts to flicker and if nothing done to it makes my screen turn black and possibly restart/stop my computer. I am using MSI afterburner to stabilize my frequencies and I wonder what problem I have with the card. I hear that multiple people owning a R9 290x has problems with driver etc. So here is a small video of the flickering while I re-install my drivers for the 100th time. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l00ZNcTWuVU&feature=youtu.be And when I use MSI afterburner to stabilize this I have to use it everytime i start my pc. I also have a problem when I connect my 19" LG monitor to the videocard, my main monitor turns off and does not receive any signal, it says cable not connected, but It is. I connect my LG monitor to a DP - VGA adapter then I hook it up to my screen. Nothing is showing an image, I once had them running together (But with a crapload of artifacts and lines on both screens I just gave up, because nobody is having the same issue as me. Thanks for the help guys, I appreciate it (Y)!
  9. Like AlwaysFSX said, just search something and then add LinusTechTips at the end
  10. I use 8 to 8 pin connectors for my GPU The Monitor isn't a issue, this is mostly a hardware issue
