Have you tried performing a normal driver un-installation though the Control Panel? Sounds like something else funky is going on here but we can start with ruling out the driver.
It may be part in partial of your Legacy platform. It seems UEFI GPU's should work with Legacy hardware but it's possible it could cause a hick-up here or there.

I've heard that newer AMD cards can have problems with the BIOS on the card itself not being compatible with older motherboards. Not sure how to fix that tho, you could look it up on Google
