  1. Hey All! I swapped a computer in our office for a Beelink Mini PC Ryzen 5 5560U 16g ram, 500gb m.2 nvme. During the day at the office, the computer will function fine but when i come in the next day, It will either be "sleeping" so to speak. the monitors will be off and the computer looks like its off but when i turn it on, it just goes to the lock screen. OR the power led will be on, fan will be spinning at 100% and the monitors will be off and there will be no response if i try to wake it up. i can only fix it but holding the power button until it's off and unplugging it and plugging it back in. I'm not sure if this is a ram issue or what. like i mentioned, the computer is set to never sleep. I have the computer on a ups so it's not a power issue in the office. i'm just not sure. Any help is appreciated! Thanks
  2. Dang that would really suck. I'm going to look into it on Asus's Website but I didn't even think of that
  3. Hey there everyone. I purchased a shiny new NVME 1tb SSD and cloned it with the AOMEI Backupper tool and now the drive does not show up in the bios. In windows explorer however, the drive shows up fine and nothing looks out of the ordinary. I tried unplugging every drive in the computer except the new SSD and still nothing. It was giving me "Secure Boot" Errors and had no dice. I removed the CMOS battery and put it back in after 15 minutes and tried again. Still nothing. I finally plugged all the drives back in to boot into windows to continue troubleshooting. Any help would be fantastic! below is info from this escapade. Thanks! Old SSD: Sandisk 240gb Sata SSD New SSD: Hynix 1tb NVME plugged into m.2 to PCI Adapter Motherboard (if it matters): Asus Z97-A Software: AOMEI Backupper Pro
  4. Hello All, I have a lenovo Y50 with an I7 and Gtx 960m, 8gb ram, and ssd. I'm trying to playback 4k video through local storage and the video is slowing down and going off sync with the audio. task manager shows only 40% on the cpu and 30% on the gpu. so far i've tried multiple players like windows built in player and vlc and the same problem occurs on both. i've also tried to restart the pc and all drivers and windows is updated. 4k video online like youtube is fine but it only occurs with playing video files. right now i'm trying it with a 4k version of avengers endgame. Any help is appreciated!
  5. This may be hard to describe, but i have multiple stereo inputs going into my audio mixer. I have them paired on the mixer so both faders go up and down when i move one but the motor is old and gets stuck sometimes. does anybody make clips or something that would hold these two faders together so it's easy to turn them up? Thanks!
  6. Evening all, I have a asus x555d with a 256gb ssd in it. There was an update and it froze. Upon restarting the laptop, it went to a black desktop with nothing but the recycle bin. It gave this error message. I was able to access the SSD from another computer and copied the desktop file from default in the local disk and copied it to system 32/config folder. Still no luck. I tried running windows recovery through a disc and now it won't boot at all and now i cannot access the harddrive from another computer. I also tried to change permissions to make the drive see the computer it's plugged in as the owner and it still is denied. Please Help. Thank you.
  7. Already checked. Its set to never on both
  8. G'day all, I have a Lenovo Y50-70 that I've been using as my HTPC hooked up to a 50 inch Toshiba for the last few years now. Recently for the past couple weeks, at the end of day when my family is done with the TV and we go to bed, the next morning we wake up to the laptop being shut off. I've already checked power settings to make sure it doesn't turn off by windows setting since it's always plugged in. I don't think it's overheating because I'll run it all day with no issues. It will just shut off as soon as our TV is off for a certain amount of time it seems like. All help is greatly appreciated!
  9. I tried the laptop connected to the switch with the same cable as pc and it was the same speed Laptop connected to the switch with a difference cable was the same result. I only got 120mbps with the laptop connected directly to the router.
  10. Now the Pc to router is dropping to around 60mbps. Laptop was showing full speed of 120mbps on the router. Laptop to switch showed around 50mbps.
  11. Both ends are the same.
  12. I used 568b on my connection from the router to the switch. is that ok?
  13. So crossover cables are just for connecting devices together directly without any switch or router? Also with that order you mentioned, is that looking from the bottom or top with the clip?
