Thats what I was planning to do with my 1155 build just now but I never got a job and stuff so I guess I will just get a Haswell build and hope that this year I will be able to save up for an i5
My parents are buying me the CPU for Xmas and I will buy the rest with the money I get which will be around £150 (for PSU, mobo, case and hard drive etc) so I guess I can save up through out the year for an i5
Here in the UK there is a £30 or £40 difference and I know that my parents said that they would buy me a CPU under around £100. Even tho the FX-8320 is around £105 I don't want them to spen too much
I know for certain that now that I will be building a new system after Christmas! I am still not sure which is the best choice for me! I will be playing mainly Call of Duty tiles ranging from CoD4 to AW whilst recording at the same time. This PC will also be used for editing and rendering videos! On paper the FX-6300 is better but I just would like so other peoples opinions first before I definitely buy!
The graphics card I am going to use is the GTX 750 Ti I have at the moment and same with the RAM (2x4GB Kingston HyperX Beast 1600MHz)
Thanks!
EDIT: I know both platforms can be upgraded to a more superior model for example the core i7 or the FX-8350. I am running a Pentium G2020 (1155) just now
Around £250 (not including RAM and Graphic card and possibly not including the case as I may keep using my HAF 912). I am wanting to build an AMD 6/8 core depending on what the prices are like when I go to purchase.
I did have some problems with it running the Windows 7 OS but never whilst running Windows 8.1 OS.
A couple of years ago I bought this PSU from a local dealer. Money is tight and I'm trying to save money where I can. I am just wanting to know what you think I should do, keep using it or get a new one for my next build (which could result in having to get a cheaper CPU or mobo!)

Thanks
I have been looking into the FX series actually because a few on my favourite streams use the 8 cores in their PCs. I know I might now be able to afford the 8 cores but I hope the FX 6300 could do the job!
Alright thanks. This is something I was thinking about the i5 as well because I have heard a lot of good things about them, especially about the 4440 and 4460
Just looking for some help. I am wanting to build a new PC for streaming with OBS 720p @30fps and recording with the Avermedia software at the same time. Thus machine will also be used for light gaming along with editing and rendering videos on SONY VEGAS pro 13. I already have RAM that I can use in my current PC aswell as 1 standard SATA drive and GTX 750 Ti I purchased around July. I am willing to spend around £250-300 not including the RAM and graphics card I was thinking about building a mITX build in the Silverstone SG05. Thanks!
