  1. My CPU has 0 problems gaming, I am mostly asking about video encoding, I've been told I'd get an 18% increase with a 6700k, and that Kaby Lake CPUs overclock better.
  2. I want to upgrade my i7-3770, but I'm debating whether to get an i7-7700k now and overclock it, or wait for Ryzen. I will use it for gaming but also for probably a lot of video encoding. I'm asking because I've seen Ryzen competing with the i7-6900k and beating it by 5 seconds (I want to encode a lot of files, so that would probably be big), and I've been wondering, what will the difference be if I overclock the 7700k.
  3. I need a recoder for my grandparents' security camera, prefferably with a passthrough. It uses composite video I think(only one RCA cable) and currently is only connected to a TV. It records at 480p or lower I think, and I want it to record a lot, so maybe with SATA connectors. Also, I want the footage to be easily pulled from the machine (prefferably).
  4. I ended up just recording it from VLC with shadowplay.
  5. I need to hardcode some subtitles(That need to be .ass for the position) to a video because PowerPoint 2013 can't read subtitles from a .mkv file. I've tried FFMPEG and some software(mostly crapware), but they didn't work. Is there any way to do this, prefferably with a GUI and a mp4 output?
  6. I want to set up OBS to record my game, music and Discord as seperate tracks, but from what I've seen they need to be on seperate audio devices for that, but I want them all to be on my headphones. Is there any way to split the headphones to 2/3 audio devices(1 for the game, 1 for Discord and optionally 1 for music)?
  7. Relavent profile pic. Thanks for the warning! It sounds so logical. Can't believe I haven't thought of that.
  8. I have some alcohol which only says "Alcohol 95% USP". Will it be OK for removing themal paste?
