PSB, Polk and Klipsch are good starter brands for home theater loudspeakers, you're also going to need a decent receiver. You should be able to paint over any grill without interfering with sound quality. You could go with a kit like suggested above but I find bose to be the apple of the audio world, the product works well and looks good, but you pay a premium price and they're systems aren't as open to future upgrades.
