  1. Im not sure if SLI bridges can be upside down, but to be sure I tested it both ways, and with both sets of connnectors. Still nothing. Would this be a motherboard issue though? The issue is with the SLI bridge, I think I may have to buy a new one. Also the SATA port that my C drive was plugged into didnt actually die, its still very much active.
  2. Just triple checked to make sure it was seated properly, and it was. Also tested both sets of SLI connectors (ports?) on my video cards, neither set worked.
  3. Hi guys! So my C drive suddenly just "dissapeared". My 2 monitors went black, and my PC froze, so I restarted the PC. I was brought to a BIOS menu asking me to select a boot drive, and my C drive wasnt one of them. I fixed that issue by plugging it into a different SATA port. I had to take out one of my video cards to get to that port though, but I put it back, reseated the SLI bridge, put everything together, and powered it on. I had to roll back the Nvidia drivers because of microsoft error 34. now everything works fine, and Both GPUs are detected, but it says no SLI connector is not detected. I made sure it was reseated properly, and It was working fine 45mins ago. Is there a way I can fix this? Everything works fine and just as it should, except for the SLI bridge. Here is the complete part list in case its needed: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/D3M1G0D/saved/3YxxFT TL;DR the SLI bridge was reconnected and seated properly, but Nvidia control panel doesn't think it exists.
  4. I am completely fine with 4x 4GB sticks. 16GB is good enough for me, and 32GB just seems a bit excessive. Not to mention my PC is already built, so it would be kind of a waste to throw away 4 brand new sticks.
  5. Thanks! as for my 290x? I dont really know. its a very recent purchase, but I dont have the packaging so I cant RMA it. I guess I'll hold onto it for a second build or in case anything catastrophic happens to my 970s, that way I'll have a backup card.
  6. Hi there! This is my first time posting on the LTT forums, so I apologize if I break a rule. I need help determining if my PSU is adequate for 2 way SLI with 2x Gigabyte GTX 970s. My PC is already built, but I will be switching out my R9 290x for 2 GTX 970s. I havent had any power issues with my R9 290x so far, but I want to be sure that I am in the clear for 2 GTX 970s. The power draw for GTX 970s is really low, 2 970s together seem to draw less power than my single R9 290x. I have been told that you could SLI 970s with a 650w PSU, and I have seen people suggest a minimum of 850w for 2 way SLI. I'm not exactly sure what to believe so I wanted to ask you guys for help. My current build: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/D3M1G0D/saved/h8rRsY My planned build: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/D3M1G0D/saved/3YxxFT Any help is appreciated!
