  1. Ok so this was made using Dragon Age Inquistion, I know you asked for The Witcher but I had already started sorry. I am not sure if this is what you wanted but I hope it is and also nothing in my system is overclocked right now, the CPU was about 2 months ago and was back to normal levels for a month before I went away. Thanks guys I really appreciate this.
  2. Hi, thanks for replying. I will try this as soon as possible and keep you updated.
  3. I have just been on holiday for a month. Before I left my computer was running great. For example, I had been playing a lot of The Witcher 3 which had been running without any hitches at 60 FPS on near ultra at 1080p. My computer was then not touched for a month and I have come back to it. I updated all the drivers then went to play The Witcher 3 and experienced a much lower frame rate and very often stutters which made the game almost unplayable. These problems were the same on low and ultra settings. I then went to play Dragon Age Inquistion and Planetside 2 which had the same problems. I am utterly clueless and would appreciate any help. This is my rig http://pcpartpicker.com/user/heronsafc/saved/Bc88TW which is running Windows 8.1 64-bit. Thanks
  4. 1. Location - UK, Budget- £500 2. A friend that wants a PC who has £500 to spend and understands this isn't going to allow him to run new games at max settings but just wants me to get the best that his money can buy from a gaming point of view. 3. Single 2k monitor. 4. I do not need to purchase any peripherals. 5. Building a brand new system for a friend. Here is the link to the build on PCPartPicker - https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/heronsafc/saved/#view=tZdtt6 Been out the area a short period of time but just looking for your opinions, feel free to call me an idiot.
  5. Yeah everything is connected properly just went through it all again
  6. Hi guys, I know this is a probably a very simple problem but I have just built my system today and there is no video output from MOBO or GPU. The lights for the GPU, CPU cooler, fans and front IO turn all turn on. Don't know if this will help but this is my build https://pcpartpicker.com/user/heronsafc/saved/Bc88TW, there's also and SSD in there.
  7. When thinking of the air flow of the full case it seemed better to just use up the one of the fan positions rather than two. It would also have to at the top of the case which would restrict cool air getting to the GPUs. If I have the h80i on the side I can have two fans at the top, one essentially directed straight at the GPU and the other directed to down into the bottom of the case with two fans at the bottom pulling the hot air, from the radiator, straight out. There may be better air flow proposals but I feel comfortable with what I came up with. thanks
  8. I'm sure I'm wrong but the front intake is just vents, no fan or anything and most of the front intake air will be taken by the PSU.

  10. There is no front intake is there, do you mean the top. And thanks for replying
  11. Already posted all my build info here - http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/229640-high-end-micro-atx-build/ Friends recommending that I do not intake air from top and do not pump air out of bottom even though the motherboard is upside down in the case im using ( http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Cases/Micro+ATX/BitFenix+Phenom+MATX+Cube+Case+-+Midnight+Black+?productId=58069 ), you can probably tell that I think otherwise and think that the intake should be at the top. Just wondering if I was right or my friends were correct? Thanks guys
  12. Yeah, this has to be a compact build as it will be carried short distances very often and once a month will have to go on long journeys. Thanks for the thought anyways though.
  13. The honest answer to that is that I don't know Thanks for pointing that out, I will rectify it. Although on PCPartPicker they are more expensive I know i can find them for around £240 on the websites that it doesn't pull prices from. OfficialJsP is right but now that I've looked elsewhere I can see your point. Cheers
