  1. damn so im 3mm short. What you said is idea but i don't like to have fans on outside of the case. Guess i will have to do some serious modding to fit it in there Cheers for replay.
  2. Hey guys Do you think will i be able to fit predator 360 with rampage 5 on top in my new enthoo pro? I got case yesterday but still need to wait for mbo and few other items to be delivered. So i am unable to measure it myself. I know that it can fit 360 up top but the thing is predator is 68mm thick and my case don't have offset holes for mounting. Any of you got this case and predator cooler and how did you mount it? Thanks in advance.
  3. Are you sure?? I just got enthoo pro and it is bigger then enthoo pro m and i to wanted to put in there predator 360 But im not sure will it fit with my mbo. And since i still have to wait on delivery for my board i cant messure it myself. I will get rampage V.Someone on OC forums said that few of the ppl tried and it didn't fit So will i be able to fit 360 and rampage V in enthoo pro on top?
  4. Thank you for your reply it is much appreciated I live in Croatia and prices here are atrocious, there is around 1500€ difference in prices from where i live and amazon. So i will be buying all of the components from amazon.de. I have some relatives in Germany so free shipping. I considered to get x99 but ram is still quite pricy and i have to get new monitor sadly my budget is not allowing it.I'm glad that this build is good and i will be able to OC it well so it can cope with everything i throw at it and i think i will be good with this build for next few years. Great it's good that i can use red in my pc.Hdd will be used just for storage without partition, but i will get another wd red so i can have them in raid.Just to be on safe side.Have lots of work related projects,documents....it would be really bad if something goes wrong with one hdd.My first choice was green but as i read some tests and reviews many people complained that green was not working well with raid and it looked to me that red was all around better so i change my mind. Hmm I don't think it is good thing to cut corners on psu it is important part of the build and it is better to pay a bit more for good quality unit.I checked jonnyguru to check AX 860 If i found my old case in garage i will strip it down to bare bones and build myself 450d.But that project might take few months because i have shit tons of other work. I read on quite a few places that it would be better to get 2 x 970 but i kinda opted to get one stronger card for now and then down the line get second. And by that time there might be even more games that work well with sli Thank you all for all of info and opinions
  5. I took this PSU just for future proof so i can later on get another 980. I read somewhere that red are great for 24/7 use it work cooler and quieter, didn't find any reason why not use it as storage and it is cheaper then black that is why i chose it. Would i be better of with black?
  6. Hello everyone I'm in a process of building myself new machine firstly for gaming but i will need it for work video editing, graphic design and i would like to have decent streaming capabilities, future proof it as much it can be and to be able to play at max settings at 1440p My budget is 2850€ that is around 3360$ for those not living in EU.Since i have really old 19'' CRT SyncMaster 997mb monitor (please don't laugh at me ) it served me well for over 10 years,it is time to get new monitor.I decided to go for IPS/PLS over TN so i got AOC q2770Pqu and i also got corsair M95 and K70 so this cut my budget for 725€ so this leaves me only with little over 2100€ for components. I made a list of components that i wanted to get but as i did research i saw many builds around 2000-2500$ with custom loops but i always end up short with money for it with components that i like to have...It would be nice to have custom loop but it's not imperative Here is the list of what i had in mind: MBO: Maximus Hero VII CPU: 4790k RAM: G-skill F3-2400C10D-16GTX GPU: Asus Strix gtx 980 PSU: AX 860W SSD: Samsung EVO 850 250gb HDD: WD red 3 tb COOL: H105 or 110i gt if become available on amazon FANS: Corsair SP 120 PWM quiet edition and NF-F12 industrialPPC CASE: 450D I would like your opinion on build i made and if you wanna change some parts with other (I'm a bit stubborn so bare with me) I'd appreciate explanation why this component over the other...etc and to see what builds with this budget community end up with. Thank you all in advance
  7. well it is better to have one 980 then 2 970 thou in my case i will have 2 980 second card will be bought in couple if weeks. i was just checking them and it does look nice By the way Happy new year guys May it be better than the last!
  8. Well im not yet at liquid nitrogen level but that doesn't mean that i can oc board. overview coming MBO:Maximus hero CPU:4970k RAM:dominator platinum 16 gb 2133mhz / i just found this F3-1866C10Q-32GSR for great price GPU:GIGABYTE GV-N980G1 GAMING-4GD X2 PSU:AX860 Cooling: H105 SSD: samsung 850 Pro 256gb HDD: WD red 3 tb And i have AOC Q2770PQU
  9. Some say don't gate anything below 2133 for gaming and 3d rendering/video editing etc.... few people said you don't need that fast go for 1600 top I will put that board through its paces and see what she got and i am going to enjoy all those nice features of very much. And you can bet what ever the hell you want. And thank you hope i will enjoy here. Yeah but cpu that was on x 79 didn't have problems running on 1.65v and 1.65V exceeds the Intel Haswell Refresh CPU recommended maximum of 1.5V+5% And some says haswell can't handle it and it should be avoided at any time other says haswell can handle that voltage and i can manually reduce volts A was just checking QVL on asus page and there is listed this kit CMD16GX3M2A2133C9 same one that i wanted to get and there is also listed this CMD32GX3M4A2133C9 and there it say 1.65v but that ram have 1.5v Got fairly big budget 2300 euro and got almost all components on the list all that is left is lets say fine tuning like getting right RAM You can say that....and i really like them and they are among the best but even i won't give them that amount of money for some of the kits. Think i will go for Vengeance Pro. Anyways thank you all for info provided
  10. What about Corsair Vengeance Pro By the way you were very helpful....
  11. Hello everyone Im building myself new machine based on maximus hero VII mbo and 4790k cpu and i wanted to get dominator platinum 16gb 2133 mhz CMD16GX3M2A2133C9 it has acceptable price of 220 euro but it also have 1.65v and as it turns out 4790k can't handle that high voltages. Will i be able to use this ram to its full potential without destroying my cpu or i need to get new ram. I know there is one more dominator platinum kit CMD32GX3M4A2133C9 but it cost 444 euro which is a bit to much for me. Also found this one Corsair Vengeance Pro CMY16GX3M2A2133C11 for 169 euro but have no idea how good/bad it is. Machine will be used for gaming,3D rendering, video editing. All the help and info would be greatly appreciated.
  12. My mbo have x79 chipset, I might be wrong but acordint to Hyperx page their ram isn't compatibile with this chipset.
  13. Yes i will primary do 3D rendering and ofcorse in free time play games. I will go then for 4x4 And thank you for quick replay it is much appreciated.
  14. Hello I'm building new PC and will be using ARIVBE,4930k.I decided to use Corsair dominator platinum 16GB Kit at 1866mhz. Now im not sure should i get 16GB Kit (4 x 4GB) or 16GB Kit (2 x 8GB). I read somewhere that is recomended to use 4 sticks on lga 2011 for extra mem bandwith. Thou if i use 2x8gm i can just get another kit if i decide to go for 32gm of ram. Thanks in advance.
