My daughters Asus G75vw was upgraded from Windows 7 to 8.1. The thing keeps rebooting at random times whether plugged in or on battery and whether gaming or web surfing. I can not get the thing to factory restore. It will not recognize the system image disks or the Windows 7 64bit recovery disk. At this point I am at my end with what I can try. Can I just pull out the original HDD and put in a new one and get a new Windows 7 os to put on it or must I keep the old HDD to make the laptop work? I noticed a windows 7 product code sticker on the back of the laptop... can this be used to put Windows 7 back on a new HDD? if so, how do I do that with no disk?
A huge thanks in advance for any and all advise, tips, or solutions for this problem.
