  1. I'm wondering how one manages to control LEDs via the RAM slot like corsair does. Did someone add controllable lighting to the socket design standard or what? I'm wanting a technical answer here, like, how the hell do they do this without a USB interface?! In case anyone is wondering what Im referring to see this:
  2. I was looking at the Enthoo Pro M XD, thank you
  3. ... http://www.supermicro.com/products/motherboard/QPI/5500/X8DTH-6F.cfm
  4. After some research. it seems that is also not what I need, see that standard is for server class motherboards, but the screw holes differ from E-ATX (what I have) and although the true E-ATX is 12 × 13 in (what I need) most case manufacturers seem to not follow it
  5. that only supports up to 264mm wide motherboards, but my motherboard is 330MM
  6. I forgot all about that case, and will now consider it
  7. Thats 267 dollors NZD, with shipping that comes to a total of 300 dollors, sorry, can't do that.
  8. Howdy, I'm in the market for an E-ATX Case with a reasonable pricetag, the catch is that it must support a super micro X8DTH-6F, which, although it says it needs an E-ATX case, it doesn't seem to comply with the standard, so I've heard, in order to prevent a lot of personal pain, and displeasure, I have come to ask before I buy http://www.supermicro.com/products/motherboard/QPI/5500/X8DTH-6F.cfm
  9. I currently run with 1333 8GB ram, and honestly, its all I need. If you dont need more ram for important tasks like video editing or rendering, stick with 8GB, though, if you want to, and can afford it without losing out on a nice gpu/cpu, go ahead.
  10. Like I just said you are more likely to hit safe voltage limits before you exceed the max cooling power of either one of them
  11. Just get the cheaper one. The only difference is more features. Plus that's really overkill for intel, you are more likely to hit the max of the silicone and safe voltage before you are cooling for either one of them
  12. Does no one really know the answer to these questions? I'm about to drop 130$ on something that might not work.
  13. Alright fair enough... His best option is still the 7850K doe. about a 5-10% better per core upgrade ish
