  1. i was just hypnotized by all those videos on youtube. thanks guys.. i will just upgrade to 780ti sli and some new ssds.
  2. the most important reason for upgrade is that i have got a really bad chip, not stable at 4.4 event at 1.35 vcore. but it runs every application good event at stocks. but im greedy for more. so i thought i will sell this to some gamer kid and upgrade.
  3. Hello, I m planning on upgrading my workstation/gaming pc , having a hard time deciding between x79 and x99. I am a content creator (video and publishing) and also a gamer. my current pc specs are: asus maximus vi hero 4770k gtx 780ti 16 gb ram 1600mhz (corsair) ssd+hdd+ 860ax psu Also, tell me if its a good idea to spend too much on sli (970s or 980s) (2 way) and also keep a quadro for render? I'm just considering that as an option, i don't print money. Thankyou all good people of ltt forums.
  4. Thank you all. I will just be happy with what i have.
  5. Hi All, I just found out that my seller gave me RAM (CMZ8GX3M1A1600C10) which is not compatible with my Asus Maximus VI Hero. I have an 4770k, I was trying to find a stable o.c. from april, but i could never hit more than 4.54ghz (1.35+ Vcore) I thought I really had a bad cpu until i just checked my ram package, and found that the model is not what i asked for. I am a peace loving man, so i don't want to go and burn down the p.c. store, what i really want to know is that how far does wrong Ram affect stability, i just want to know how good my processor is  Also, Since you have come this far, Please suggest best RAM for my build. I play games and also does content creation (video editing, aftr fx and photoshop etc...) looking for the best price-to-performance. you can also suggest over-kill if you feel like. *Specs (not mentioned) Asus GTX 780ti (reference) Corsair AX860 Corsair Neutron GTX 240 GB SSD + WD Black (1 TB) + WD Green (2TB) Swiftech H320 cpu cooler Thanks
  6. Hey guys, I have overclocked my 4770k to 4.285 ghz @ 1.275v , DRAM @ 1.55 (1632 Mhz) input - 1.9v bclk- 102mhz so, my pc takes 2 attempts to succesfully post and boot, sometimes it wont post at all ( code 00 - asus maximus vi hero) im worried about this sort of. Is this ok?
  7. With the new 344.something nvidia driver i could run my benq xl2720t on 4k , so i was getting pretty excited about it. Guess i will just calm down and wait for volta or watever is next. Thanks guys. You all saved me from poverty.
  8. I have been thinking about getting sli with 780ti (2-way) and checking some benchmarks with games like BF4, Crysis 3, I doubt if spending over 1000$ gives me solid 4k gaming performance? Please pour in your views on this, so that I can decide to be happy with 1440p or burn my pocket for 4k beauty.
  9. Thanks for the info, i will talk to them and will get it replaced.
  10. Just tried running my monitor in its native resolution (1080p) and the temp just glide back to 38. so i think it was the ogssa causing the high idle temps. i noticed that the gpu clock was around 800mhz and the memory clock was 100% during idle at 1440p. also full load the temps never go higher than 82c. so i keep it?
  11. Never had any bios issues?
  12. No, it was around 35-38 during the first 3-4 months, only thing i tweaked was i OGSSA'ed the monitor to run at 2560X1440 . No overclocking. Do you think this temp is a good reason to RMA?
  13. My monitor is Benq XL2720T 3D. OGSSA'ed to 2560X1400. and i plan to keep this monitor until 4k monitors gets affordable. 3GB Vram is enough for this right?
  14. Will try that, thanks.
