@MattP123 I haven't looked much into keyboards, so forgive me if I sound stupid but, what's the benefit of having a mechanical keyboard over a non mechanical keyboard? Is it the time it takes a the keys to spring back up so they can be pressed again?

@MattP123 thanks for the advice, I think i'm going to go with an Asus VJ238H, it's a little more pricy than the one you suggested but from reviews i've read it should be worth it! Also i'm ashamed to admit this, but I think i'm gonna torrent windows. I'm pretty much against piracy but I don't have the money to spend so hey, a mans gotta eat right? Any tips for keyboard and mouse? Not sure i've made the right choice with those.

I want to get into pc gaming and my HP Pavillion dv-6 notebook just ain't cutting it. I through this together over the past couple days and i'm not sure what kind of performance i'm going to get.
