hi guys, I've almost completed building my first gaming pc,
which the specs:
CPU: i7-4790K
Cooler: Kraken X61
Mobo: MSI Z97S Krait edition
RAM: 16gigs of Kingston FuryX black
GPU: sapphire R9 390 nitro 8GB
Case: NZXT Phantom 530
PSU: Corsair RM750
storage: 1TB seagate 7200RPM + 240GB SSD
First of all, I'm having a bit of a rough time building it, because it is my first time, I can only follow what I saw online, and I can't really be sure if I'm doing everything right, for example:
I had to put relatively a lot of force on the mobo to align it with the screwing holes, and also to fit the metal plate of the GPU to the case (I really hope this is normal)...
Also I heard a bit of a creaking sound when I put the CPU in and closed it ...
All this aside, I think I've installed the rest correctly, all except the PSU because the screws don't fit in ...
So this has been a lot less enjoying as I thought it would be ...
But now my real question is: what do I do when I finished building everything?
do I first install the disc that came with the motherboard or the OEM first ? (windows 8.1 builder version)
Also do I have to put the disc in manually (by opening the driver with a paperclip) or can I power my system up and press the opening button ?
As you can see I'm kind of a newbie to all of this and I'm kinda lost ...
Any help is really appreciated,
thanks in advance ...
