  1. Hi everyone! I recently updated my drivers to 460.89 and just noticed that Adaptive is no longer present in Power management mode. Does anyone else have Adaptive missing? I tried DDU and it didn't change anything. Please help.
  2. What cooler did you use and how did you setup the BIOS prior to testing?
  3. I'll be receiving my 5800X soon. I'll try to follow your BIOS config and see what temps I'll get. I'm using a NH-D15 and I'm hoping to get acceptable temps. Did you do any stress testing on the CPU by any chance?
  4. Hi everyone! I'm planning on assembling a new rig by next year and I need to start off with a case. I have a NH-D15 and run strictly air cooling for now, with plans on liquid cooling in the future. I have found two cases that I fancy because of the clearance and flexibility of options Case 1: Fractal Meshify S2 - Support for 3x120/40mm Fans in Front and Top - 185mm CPU Clearance - Good cable management space Case 2: NZXT H710i - Support for 3x120/2x140mm Fans in Front and Top - 185mm CPU Clearance - Really good cable management space I need to know which case has better airflow and which case providers better temps overall. Many Thanks!
  5. Will try to reduce the RPM of the intakes. Curious on how should I control the speed of 3pin DC fans. Any advise?
  6. The front intake fans are running at 1200rpm at DC mode, the exhaust is also running at 100%. Them AF's being 3 pin DC. The D15 fans, however, are running on PWM without the LN adapter, at turbo mode, around 600rpm when the temps are idling at 28-30c and maxes out at 100% load.
  7. Relevant Specs: Case: NZXT S340 CPU: 6700k OC'd to 4.7@1.32 running at 75-76c @ 100% Load, cooled by a Noctua NH-D15 GPU: MSI GTX 1080 Ti Gaming X at Stock running at 71-72c @ 100% Load Airflow and fan setup has been mentioned above.
  8. So, you're saying that they are worth replacing the AF140s or no? I know they can push more air than the AF140s but is really a noticeable difference?

    ML140 Queries

Hi All!, I'm currently thinking of upgrading my intake fans for my setup, which is as follows: Case: NZXT S340 2 x AF140 - Front Intake 1 x AF120 - Rear Exhaust I was considering getting ML140s, though they are a bit pricey. Question is, are ML140s worth upgrading to from AF140s? Would there be a noticeable difference, cooling and acoustics wise? I honestly do not mind the noise levels at all, except when they will run at full RPM, but sub 30-32 dba I can live with.
  10. Took me a while to stabilize it. Trial and error for a few hours. Started off at 1.35 then slowly dropped down to 1.31. How did you get your 6700k stable and what are your settings?
  11. Hi everyone! I've owned a 6700K now for at least a year at 4.6 @ 1.290v stable. I recently scored a Noctua NH-D15 from a friend who gave it to me as a present. I managed to OC it to 4.7 @ 1.31v with LLC5. Ran RealBench and got temps hovering over 74-78 degrees tops for an hour stable. How good is this voltage for this OC and what I can do to improve upon this OC? System Specs: Motherboard: Asus Z170 Pro Gaming CPU: Core i7 6700K RAM: Corsair Vengeance 1x16GB @ 2400 MHz Case: NZXT S340 | Corsair AF 2x140mm Intake | Corsair AF 1x120mm & 1x140mm exhaust GPU: MSI GTX 970 Surprisingly, the NH-D15 managed to fit snugly inside, provided you only use 1 DIMM. Many Thanks! IXD
  12. I'm going out on a limb here and say that I need to place my Stable manual overclock which is 1.265 on the Additional Turbo Mode CPU Core voltage field?
  13. Alright. So I've done a 24 hour test using Realbench this time at 4.6 ghz with 1.250v and it crashed around the 4 hour mark. I bumped the voltage to 1.265 and it managed to stabilize somehow. I'm comfortable with this setting now. Will go switch to Adaptive Voltage and toggle C-states and Speedstep from Auto to Enabled. Any other things you guys can recommend?
  14. I'm going to continue in tweaking the OC now. Will continue to read posts in an hour.
  15. So currently the Core voltage is at 1.247 when I select Adaptive mode. I need to set the Offset to +0.025 and it will peak at 1.275. Did i get that right
