  1. Supposedly there's a workaround to get it working. http://steamcommunity.com/app/22370/discussions/0/828937546147175081/
  2. I'm thinking of buying Fallout 3, as I've never played it and hear it's awesome. I've also hear the DLC for it isn't that great so the GOTY edition is basically a waste. Is this true? Also what about Fallout:NV? Is the DLC on it good?
  3. A friend of a friend is thinking of building his own pc for the first time. He's not interested in the latest greatest games out there. He has told me that he mainly plays Kerbal Space Program and Besiege...which I have 0 knowledge of. Are these games CPU intensive? He's wanting to stay as low as possible and still handle those games, minecraft and maybe a few more modern games at 1080p at medium settings. Any advice would be appreciated.
  4. I think I'm going to order the clouds. Also... This is kind of funny seeing as how we're on the forums of some youtubeer, who we obviously care enough to join his forums... No disrespect intended Linus!
  5. I have an MSI gaming 5 motherboard, I saw on Tek Syndicate that they sound better with a powered heaphone "amp" how do I know if that's something I have?
  6. Mainly just in case she decides to fall or something and start crying, or wakes up in the middle of the night crying or anything like that.
  7. I did forget to mention that my only concern with the Clouds are that they're closed back and I have a 2 year old, would they still allow me to hear her if I had them on?
  8. I've been doing some research on trying to obtain a headset for gaming, and I've pretty much narrowed it down to 2 options. Other input would be considered, after some research on my own. The question I have is, would I be better suited to buy one of t he Kingston HyperX Cloud headsets or buy the Superlux HD668B headphones and add an Antlion Modmic 4.0? I know that audio is subjective and people prefer different sounds, but I don't know a ton about headphones/headsets and am not an audiophile by any means. My main use for them will be for gaming, listening to some music and watching youtube quality videos...I may occasionally watch a movie or 2 on my pc as well.
  9. He ordered these parts tonight. We're on! I love PC building! 10. I've honestly never used PowerColor, are they reliable?
  11. A friend of mine has had some hardware failures in his very old pc and is looking to build a new one. His budget is $700 US. I put this together tonight and am wondering if there's are better options available for the price range he's looking at. His only request was he wanted an i5. 12. I'm looking to get the best bang for my buck headphones for my new pc. I'd like to stay around $50 US. I've done some research here and some other places as well and I've found that the Superlux HD-668B are a good option. My question is: Are they phasing them out, or are they just that popular? On PCPartPicker there are no options available to buy them, so I did a quick Amazon search and they have a few being sold there. Are there any other good options in that price range? I do prefer them to be open back, but other than that I'm not too picky. http://www.amazon.com/Superlux-HD668B-Dynamic-Semi-Open-Headphones/dp/B003JOETX8/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1425536382&sr=1-1&keywords=superlux+hd668b
  13. I ended up using a program called Unlocker which worked well. Took forever, but it worked.
  14. No, I mean I have a full windows install on my old hard drive I would like to remove. I have over 100GB of files I need to hang on to between Tax files, pictures, music etc...
  15. I built my new PC a couple of weeks ago now, and put my hard drive from my old PC in it as a mass storage drive. I'd like to go through and delete the old windows folder and program files folders and others that are on there, but I can't seem to get it to work. I'd rather not format it, because I have some select folders and files I'd rather not get rid of. I've tried a few different permissions and ownership settings, but I keep getting the same thing. "Access denied" Any information would be helpful.
  16. Thanks for the info. The 4 port version will be in my near future!
  17. I'm not sure if this is the correct place to ask this, if not I apologize and please direct me to where I could ask. I have an iPad air, iPhone as well as a Kindle. I'm looking for one device I can sit on my desk that would have multiple USB ports on it so I can just plug in all of the USB charger cords and not have to worry about having all these different charging blocks and swapping all of them out. Is there any such thing and if so which one would you recommend?
  18. @ProKoN @Faceman I was able to achieve initial stability at 4.4ghz at 1.26v. I wasn't able to get the system to pass 1 benchmark at 4.5ghz below 1.3v (1.29 was the highest I went). I ended up just setting the ring bus back to auto because I wasn't sure I was really ready to get into that. Currently running 8 hour stress @4.4 on xtu. If it passes that I'll run asus realbench tomorrow while I'm working. I started 4.4 at 1.29 and worked my way back. I got it down to 1.26 where it passed 5 xtu benchmarks and a couple cinebench ones as well. At 1.25 it would pass one maaaaybe 2 benches before I got "WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR"
  19. dialed it back to 43x, 1.25v vcore, 1.9v vin 35x Ring bus and 1.1v ring voltage and seems stable. Now should I increase the ring bus multiplier then do initial stability again?
  20. I was in Override mode (msi board) I assume that's what I need?
  21. Ok, strange. I had 4.4GHz semi stable last night. I was able to get through just about anything I threw at it. But today when I was planning on getting a 8 hour test in, it won't even get through 1 XTU benchmark.
  22. Ok, I'll try ASUS Realbench out see how it works.
  23. @ProKoN @Faceman How long should I run XTU before I determine it's stable enough to stress for 8+ hours?
