  1. Hi, Im trying to stop windows 10 from opening the Calc app when I press the Cal key on my ducky shine 7. I tried to remap it with Sharpkeys but it says it cant remap the key (00_000). I also went to HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\AppKey and deleted all the folders inside (I think calc was the 18), but windows still opens up the calculator when I press it. Is there another path in regedit that stores the shortcut for the Calc app? I want to use the key to mute on discord so I still need windows to know that i pressed the key(disco calls it "UNK138"). PS:For some reason i have 2 calculators installed, 1 seems to be the oldschoold calc.exe and the other one is the new window store calculator. thx
  2. I did a Shrink and made a new partition and installed the new OS there,it seems that the OS self activates, no need to add the key again
  3. C: drive is the default boot one with 500GB, Z drive have the factory recovery partition on it (15GB),I want to split C drive in 2 (C and D drives)Maintain the OS installed on C and install a new one on D drive, but i cant split the drives in 2 from the recovery boot. And I cant make a bootable USB stick with the windows media creation tool because the computer key is OEM and its on the BIOS.(I extracted it and it doesn't work on the WMCT)
  4. the problem is not recovering, i want to partition the hard drive while keeping the recovery partition intact
  5. The thing is im only afraid of losing the OEM key that is on the UEFI/recovery ,if it where my desktop i would just format everything and be done with it. I don't want to have to buy a new license because I lost the recovery partition on the laptop. Will the recovery save my key?(As i said im used to formatting and re installing everything again)
  6. Its an Acer Aspire V V3-572G-74KZ It doesn't come with a recovery disk and if want a recovery media I have to buy it from their store. I took a look in the boot recovery and there is no option to choose where to install it, it just auto format and install. Would shrinking the main partition mess up the boot one?
  7. Hi, so I bought a new laptop and I want to partition the hard drive because I want to keep my OS separated from the other(parents will use the computer and Im sure they will get viruses and stuff) I don't want to do a full format and then do the partition because I will lose the recovery partition that comes with it (no disks for this laptop), is there a way to do it? TL DR:want to split the disk into 3 while keeping the recovering partition and installing both OS form it. thx
  8. I know the extra ram is nice, but from what ive seen arround (there arent many 6500u reviews )the improvement over the 5500U is like 7% and frame wise for gpus the frame rate is pretty much the same, that 940M is the DDR3 version btw, and for the ram, i can allways add 8 gigs later
  9. Hello,I need to choose a new laptop for multimedia stuff(mostly the adobe pack)and some light gaming. I need some help deciding on wich one Intel Core i7-5500U GeFORCE 840M 2GB 8 GB RAM and it costs €639,99 the other one is Intel Core i7-6500U GeForce 940M 4GB 16 GB and it costs €799,99 my question is, is it worth paying the extra 160€ for the new cpu and gpu? Thx
  10. Hi,I was trying to flash a new room on my moms huawei ascend y300 and I made the stupid mistake of forgetting to unlock the bootloader before installing TWRP and now im getting the Image signature verify fail!(you boot/recovery image may ahve an incorrect signature) I to force install the huawei firmware but it gives an error on 2/2 and form what I saw on the web that is caused by the wrong firmware version(not sure if it is because of my carrier or I will have to try the 10+ version of it 1 by 1) Because of that the DC unlocker wont give me the bootload code and I cant email Huawei asking for the code because I need the product id and I need the OS running for that. Does anyone know if it is possible to fix this and how? thx
