  1. @Tz000 do you think that there will be a difference between 4GB and 8GB model of RX580 @1080p?
  2. Hello everyone! I'm considering GPU upgrade, for comfortable playing of most of the esport titles (csgo, pubg, lol, fortnite, h1z1). I currently have R9 270 paired with i5-4460 and 24gb of ram (I'm also a .net developer, hence the amount of RAM) also 500W OCZ CoreXStream PSU. The two GPUs that I'm considering are: RX 580 8GB - http://allegro.pl/karta-graficzna-xfx-amd-radeon-rx-580-8gb-gts-xxx-i7049407023.html GTX 1060 6GB - http://allegro.pl/karta-graficzna-zotac-gtx-1060-mini-6gb-5-lat-gwar-i7055332559.html or http://allegro.pl/zotac-gtx-1060-amp-6gb-oc-na-stanie-5latgw-zestaw-i6952117336.html Links are from allegro.pl - popular auction site in Poland. As you can see I'm trying to fit into the ~1300PLN range, which is about ~370USD after all taxes. I would like to avoid buying used GPUs unless it would be a great deal. I will be mostly playing in 1080p, 75Hz for now, maybe 144Hz in future - not sure there. According to the benchmarks, both GPUs are almost equal in performance, and in current price flux regarding mining they're both at the same price. I can get RX570 or 580 4GB for ~200PLN less probably, maybe that would be also fine? I'm not playing any AAA titles, just <60fps in fortnite and (especially) pubg is annoying, even on lowest settings Edit: Almost indentical topic went in when I was writing mine (lol) - but It's for US market. I would kill for that kind of deal (200$ for RX), so the question still stands
  3. I've looked for Lenovo X1's but they mostly offer "U" CPUs and are more expensive than DELL. Windows 10
  4. Hello everyone. It's not often that I post on forums but this time I'm in a real tears as to what to choose and I need someones help or advice. I currently own an ASUS UX303LN ultrabook, equipped with i5-5200U, 12GB RAM (can't get more unfortunately), 240GB SSD and GF 840M. I want to swap to something more powerful - mostly with much better CPU, since this processor really can't handle complex solutions in visual studio for me. In my country (Poland) it's currently valued at approx 2800PLN (~700USD) and that's what I could sell it for, used. My first choice is DELL XPS 15" 9550 (older, 2016 model) with i7-6700HQ, 32GB RAM, 512GB SSD, 4K screen and 960M for 7000PLN (~1760USD). I don't really care about graphics, since I game on my PC and laptop will be used strictly for work and occasional movies. And here comes the main question - is there anyone else better than DELL for this kind of money? I know, MacBooks, but as a (mostly) .NET Developer I can't really rely on OSX for this kind of job for now.
  5. I'm sure, I've always had 250+ fps in CSGO, now I have 100-120 when playing, I've checked with RTSS + HwInfo while playing and it says GPU Clock 450MHz, Memory Clock 1400MHz.
  6. Hello everyone. As I've read more about these drivers, I was getting more and more hyped towards them, so when they went out I've installed them on my PC. But it turns out that they work like exact opposite of my expectations. My problem is that after installing these drivers my GPU Clock locks at 450MHz and won't go any higher without external program called Radeon Pro (even Afterburner doesn't work - it just can control fan speed, same for driver panel). It's just plain stupid for me. I'm kinda sure that these drivers are meant for my PC, which is: i5-4460, AsRock H81M, R9 270. Have anyone experienced something like this? I will be very thankful for any ideas that are not "reinstall drivers"
  7. If that was powerline my girlfriend that sits almost next to me (at the desk on other side of the room) would probably have the same problem, which she does not. Same goes for my flatmates. Also as I've mentioned I can put my laptop right next to PC and it works fine with better reception as well.
  8. Hello guys. I already have a WiFi adapter - namely TP-LINK Archer C4 USB Adapter. But to be honest it kinda sucks. Low reception (my ASUS UX303LN has much better in the same spot), slow speeds (it's paired with Archer C2 on 5GHz 802.11ac connection and maxes out at 130mbit). Not to mention constant freezes on wifi and latency between my pc and router going as high as 200ms from time to time. On 2.4GHz it doesn't work at all, drops 90% of packets and is unsuable overall - 2.4GHz works fine on other computers. The network and router configuration itself isn't problematic, because everything works great on other PC's at my apartment. I've also tested this card on other computers using various divers and nothing helped nor changed. So here's my question - what to pick (preferably internal for PCI-e)?
