  1. the difference between them is not 1080p vs 4K. its less than that
  2. I am trying to buy this to test. as all the 4k/8k videos i can find are short duration so i want to use this to test some stuff. where can I buy the video ? or download it
  3. so i was bouncing around from beta to regular fp site and while am watching Techlinked i sort of noticed they are not the same, i felt the beta looked much worse what you guys think ? the quality on FP beta was bad (even thu setting set on 4k) so I did click 4K (again on the Beta) it fixed the quality but the colors still different (expected its beta) however the colors are not the same on both players. maybe it is the way they process the video ? I don't know how these players work , I just thought its interesting to share. the classic FP look better ,somehow the purple part of his hoodie look better I link the image if you need to download it to zoom in https://postimg.cc/ppvH3N6w
  4. weird I was checking Amazon us and Newegg and couldn’t find it in stock.
  5. Hi I am just surprised that no one is calling out Intel for the availability issue of their GPUs ? It feels like it’s a paper launch. it barley exist on some sites and sometimes if I click to order it , my order will be cancelled saying it’s out of stock ! and in my region (Dubai) no shops have it. does anyone see it on shelves and easy to grab in their local stores ? and in YouTube , I didn’t see any YouTuber talking about this !
  6. i have 2 devices motu m2, not just one , and return is not an option as i used one for looooong time without issues but then started to have some and my solution was to format for a while it worked with that then i couldnt even solve it with format. 2nd motu m2 i bought it to make sure its not a hardware issue as their support wasnt useful that time and the issue happened on 3 computers so i assumed faulty hardware then issue was fixed on my mac dont know how. and stayed on 2 computers even with new motu so its not hardware thing. i didnt go to my friend house to test it agian on his computer but am certain its still the same. anyway cant return and i use XD05 Basic for my headphones which is 10 times better than Motu m2. its cheaper. its portable , it have no issues and drivers are solid 10/10 + many more features. however if you want to add XLR input for a mic i think it will add more cost to be more expensive than motu m2 by at least 70$ so its not the same budget level anymore
  7. you can hear the video i made in the first post , its not clipping its the same but less with the bose 35, i have to move the knob to hear it or make the knob on high volume meaning while am moving around the knob even on low volumes it will make that noise. i dont think its clipping as clipping only when you draw more than it can produce and it happens on low sounds and bose 35 is 32 ohm only + the sound of clipping different from the recorded noise i put in the first post you can hear it. clipping happened in the past when the device was working perfectly i tried to max the knob and see when it will clip so i hear the different and can recognize it
  8. today i got an adapter and I tested on my Bose QC35 II its much better and never do the crackling noise till I increase the the knob too high and its small amount not the same at all with DT 990. so I guess its related to power draw. also I can reproduce the issue when I am moving the knob and clicking the window sound level to make that windows ping.(on my bose QC 35 II)
  9. didn't work, and i have tried that before , and tried every combination almost. for the price you cant beat it. and i consider it way better than many Audio interfaces. but i own 2 motu m2's and I tested on 3 computers X570 dark hero Z370 maximus X hero and macbook 12" ( issue was resolved after using their extension) so brand new motu m2 behave same way with 2 different gaming computers i would say it is garbage and worth of being called that till its fixed. either software or hardware whatever is cozing it, and their support isn't the greatest when you check earlier posts here they didn't reply For months , till i actually made another ticket to point their attention to the old ticket.
  10. just for historic info if someone stumbled upon this. I made new ticket on Motu m2 to make them notice the old ticket hhhhhhh they replied with the silliest solutions: 1- i already talked to them before that I did the usb troubleshooting link they gave , its there in the history in the ticket with the other agent 2- 3-its not just a shot in the dark its impossible "The USB ports are malfunctioning on these PCs to a degree " they are not , 1 brand new computer man with amd X570 Asus ROG dark hero and other is old Z370 that works flawless with their sound card on mic + the headphones issue used to be fixable with reinstalling drivers then i couldnt fix it doing that so i started fixing it with formatting my pc and was working with that solution , then it stopped being fixed by both solutions so its not a freaking motherboard problem its more like compatiblity issue with their garbage software/driver that doesnt follow certain usb power delivery standard which i confirmed once i connected it to my macbook 12" because it works on the laptop but finish the battery within 3-5 minutes of a full battery and my laptop battery health still good the laptop lasts 8+ hours normally. also my XDo5 Basic (just bought it) Totally works flawless with my pc or with my usb powered hub. on battery mode and on ext power (means from pc) 4- he want to know if its WDM os ASIO isolated insident =.=! what can I say , these guys clearly dont know how to troubleshoot. if it was driver issue that only happens with wdm only it would have never worked by reformatting and reinstalling drivers like i used to fix it , and before these 2 solutions i used to fix it by plugging the motu to my monitor usb hub (tried it now it doesn't solve it) and if it will be solved in asio it would be working flawlessly in many software's and others have issues as some software's use Asio =.=!, but no the issue its there universally in the entire windows. 5- he suggests " I would also consider looking into a PCI USB card from Inateck" joking right? he knows its a gaming pc and he either dont know how intel z370 platform split pcie lanes which is bad and means this guy not qualified to be talking to me to try to troubleshoot it and should just shut it and pass me to someone who knows more. Or he dont care that I lose performance on my gpu when i just connect a pci device that he want me to + he want me to throw more $ on the problem which is not my fault its their garbage product and its over reddit and youtube well known issue am not the only one. o here is my video i made for this tech support guy , he asked i try ASiO so i did and recorded , and i put it here for documentation so anyone have the same issue can maybe help me solve it or know that motu support dont know enough to solve it
  11. i dont have other headphones that is 1/4 inch plug. and it was working fine in the past then when this noise started to happen i used to format the pc and it solved it. but then even formatting the pc didnt work. also new update , I installed the system extension on mac (which wasn't available before) now on my mac it sounds good. so am pretty sure its software issue because its still the same headphones on mac and the same headphones on windows used to work fine and even later dates when started to sound bad a format did solve it or can be usb power delivery issue with updates/bios etc.. :/ dont know
  12. Hi I will try to keep it short and straight to the point: 0- I have contacted the Motu support for this and they are not helpful nor willing to do live chat/TeamViewer to attempt to solve this. screenshot for proof (ticket still open since 6/Aug/2021) 1- I had this issue for long time and my solution was always format the pc or reinstall the drivers to fix it but since august its not fixing the issue anymore. I put a video of how it sounds 2- basically my headphones are DT 990 Pro 250ohm , they work perfectly on any device ( my own pc, Asus MAximux X hero + my friend gaming pc forgot his mobo + my 12" macbook ) but with the motu m2 it gave me issues after few months and i solved it using #1 format/reinstall etc.. 2.5- I tried all sample rates and buffer sizes etc.. didn't solve it however it made the noise sound change and be more frequent or lets say more noises in 1 second ! 3- since august i couldn't solve it that way so I tested the motu m2 on my Macbook 12" and my friends gaming pc and the same annoying sound is there which made me realize its a hardware issue in the "Old Motu M2" 4- I bought a new Motu M2 and guess what ? its the same issue , its there. I test it on Macbook 12" and my gaming PC Asus Maximus X hero. only difference between this test and the old one its that I updated windows + bios of my gaming pc also updated my mac OS ofc. which should be the normal for most ppl right? 5- so now I know for sure its not Broken hardware Motu m2 and its not my Computer/motherboard. and formatting or reinstalling drivers don't help. how to solve this ? checked youtube etc.. nothing solved it, and even followed their instructions on their website https://motu.com/techsupport/technotes/troubleshooting-windows-audio so only hope I still have its this forums Capture2 ss to show their software don't report any issues in dignostics. So guys any new ideas or tricks that I can try to fix this? if it helps: Seasonic prime 1000W/ hooked to a UPS APC and even did upgrade to new ups Triplite.(dont remember honestly if I tried without the ups but I doubt its the ups that is cozing all this and I dont want to use this pc without ups) 8700k Stock mobo settings all stock except xmp ( and tried to reset to defaults didnt help) Ps:+ even the psu was RX 850W corsair before I upgrade to 3080. so it cant be ups because I tried 2 and cant be psu because I tried 2. and cant be mobo because I tried 3 computers! 719208911_Desktop2021_08_06-21_00_06_02.mp4
  13. you check benchmarks for the games you like to play on 3060/3060 Ti and the 3070. 60FPS high to medium settings i believe is doable in 3060 Ti @1440p but that is cutting it close and no headroom for higher quality games. so I believe the 3070 or higher is the right card for 1440p but anyway checking YouTube for benchmarks is the best thing to do to be sure you get what you expect.
  14. since you will game. what is the resolution you will game at? 3060/3060 Ti will be good for 1080p but if you are trying to max settings + high fps on 1440p you wont be able to do that. so 3070+ is the right card for that and from the prices in my country the 3070 same price as 3070 Ti so no one buy normal 3070 anymore
  15. yes its 4x pcie lanes shared across 24 lanes , so if am going to use the computer like this it will throttle !? the 10gbe alone won't throttle it i know its basic math, but what about the rest of the disks copying data? and the reason i want to do what is in the picture , its simple when i back things up to nas i will free some space on the local drive so i will re organize the files and sort them that will make me copy paste / cut paste etc.. so i dont want to be waiting for the lan transfer to finish to be able to transfer files fast between the local disks
  16. even if we will go for the diagram. the x8 you talking about it will still be the same issue x16 to the gpu x8 to the z590 total 24 and from the z590 4 will go to nvme ssd remaining 4 to the network + io ( which is what am trying to see where my math is wrong to know how to solve it)
  17. current problem. and i have 2 more sata ssd's swapping them. because I cant even plug everything to my computer (not enough sata ports) my workflow is Turtle speed now 0 back up 0 redundancy and no cloud storage. also the free space you see is me Deleting the max I can delete. and holding back to the absolute best = zero work done, zero new photage zero projects all because no space. I got the QVO recently filling it then will swap it with one of the extra ssd's afterwards (which they are full) so..
  18. I wrote long reply but here is short version: My workstation/desktop the i9 machine Z590. will have these Disks for example Cluster A ( 2 sata SSD’s raid 0) Cluster B (2 sata SSD’s Raid 0) Cluster C (bunch of hardisks for huge capacity And D ( nvme SSD 1 in the nas and 1 in the computer connected to the nas) My Nas/Server will have these Disks for example: [made it the same to be simple] Cluster A ( 2 sata SSD’s raid 0) Cluster B (2 sata SSD’s Raid 0) Cluster C (bunch of hardisks for huge capacity And D ( nvme SSD 1 in the nas and 1 in the computer connected to the nas) or reverse the entire thing. or replace some clusters with C or B or A etc.. got it ? so having 2 simultaneous transfers is the Minimum. 4x pcie can handle it? in numbers it doesn't seems like it. only way to handle it is if am going to use the system like many ppl do which is not good, basically AFK till the computer finish transfers then go do the rest in order after the previous ones finish (means i have to wait long) and work in slow way. Long version in this spoiler:
  19. I think you missing some info 1- Sata SSD’s not just hardeives and these will be raided to reach the 10Gbe 2- it’s multiple transfers at once. lets say am using nvme to send to hardisks and some ssd’s then I am sending at the same time to the NAS via 10gbe ( from 2 raised SSD’s to reach 10gps speed) ! how that chipset 4pcie can handle it ? can you tell me some information I am missing or some math I do wrong ? single SSd can do 600MBs so 2 SSD’s is 1.2GBs which is equivalent of more than 1X and the lanes either go for 4 or 2 or 1 they don’t split like 1.5 lanes so either I get full speed of the 1.2GBs sagas utilizing 2X pcie lanes to do so or I utilize 1X lane to reach 900~ MBs which is what I don’t want to happen 3- all that above is just 2 SSD’s and I am telling you I have 30TB+ which I want to expand to 40 if possible and add more SSDs to reach 4 and copy on 10gbe full speed so doing that transfer = bandwidth of pcie 2x gone then doing 10gbe over the network at the SAME TIME ! will add another 2X pcie of bandwidth = 4X pcie are gone nothing left to use anything else ? where is my math is wrong ?
  20. Not really because I wrote the 10850K by mistake i meant 11900K all what I wrote apply to 11900K ( 11th gen ) intel older generations was worse 20 total pcie CPU lanes (4 go to chipset via dmi, 16 to gpu , so even having nvme will make gpu go to 8, or chipset go to 2x which is why many ppl lose USB ports if they try to plug all sata and USB’s like me ) and the idea hdds are slow , I am adding cheap sata ssd’s and some raided to use the 10gbe if it’s possible how you saying you can’t max the system ? 2 sata ssd’s that is 1.2+ GBs which is effectively more than 1X pcie 3.0 and 10gbe is 2X pcie 3.0 what you have is 1X for everything else which is not enough we talking about only 2 sata ssd’s right now I have total data of 30TB and there is no sata ssd’s that fit 30TB in just 2 disks so I must at least have many sata ssd’s then a bunch of hardisks am going to utilize all 8 sata ports and at least 2 will be ssd and if the speed even allow it will go for 4 but you can see it’s already throttling in just 2 ssd’s the math says dmi will be full with just occupying the satas and USB ports + 10gbe transfer files 10gbe transfer king that is 2x gone ( cpu lanes 2x ) 2 satas that is 2X g cpu lanes gone because they only work by diving to 2 or not ) 1 cpu lane can’t give 2 sata full speed and then I have to add the other stuff ! so 1X enough for the entire system ? won’t even be able to copy from one hardisk to the another hardisk ( to organize or sort the files) have to wait for the network transfer to finish because it will be choking if I do so and btw my maximus X hero have almost all sata used andI lose USB ports when I want to keep everything plugged in , monitor , rgb, mouse , keyboard etc.. so I already see how the chipsets are bad ( but it’s the old one so the new one will handle it ) how ever the new system also means I want to expand storage and I want to use 10gbe so again it won’t handle it It won’t handle the ports sharing and it won’t handle the bandwidth data transfers ( at least in theory ) anyone have 10gve Z590 can share his data would appreciate it
  21. It doesn’t have extra electrically DMi 3.0 intel Have only 4 traces coming from the cpu. So it’s 4x pcie 3.0 lanes only. all the extra stuff they say it’s firmware and software trickery scheduling the data transfers. and you will see it choking if you tried to use all USB ports and some Sata ports then did transfer files and used the Lan to transfer files. then used nvme with that. you will see it choking for real the 10Gbe takes 2x pcie at least to reach 1.25GBs because 1X pcie 3.0 is about 980~ MBs so to reach more it have to use another lane so it’s 2 lanes so you are left remains with 2 lanes from cpu to share across everything that rely on chipset Sata , Bluetooth , wifi ( if used ) etc.. 2 sata ssd’s should get you around 1.2GBs so that is also 2 lanes worth of bandwidth from cpu . nothing left to use hardisk usb or peripherals. I know the intel marketing BS 24 lanes from chipset. those are the lines and tracers how it divides the total 4 lanes from cpu I explain in another way cpu ——-> send 4 lanes to chipset ( named dmi 3.0 now intel via chipset processing and magic chipset ——-> 24 lines to all connected stuff ( lan+ usb+ sata …..) so the bottleneck still there which is dmi link ( 4x pcie ) no matter what kind of magic they do it is still limited by it.
  22. Hi Short version: If I buy Z590 intel motherboard with 10gbe onboard, i will get the full speed of the 10gbe ? because it only have 24 pcie lanes. 16 for gpu 4 for nvme ssd (pcie 3.0 somewhat budget ssd) and 4 going to the chipset which splits them into 24 but realistically its 4 physical lanes from the cpu to the z590 chipset which goes to: sata ports , usb, Lan 10gbe etc.. so did i get it right? Long version: if i did get it right then the 10gbe land port is a waste on z590 as long as its wired via the chipset. and if its direct to cpu then it will make my gpu x8 or the nvme x2 instead of 4. or the 10gbe will get x2 pcie instead of x4 pcie 3.0 then its the same case with amd X570 platform? is it only possible to utilize the 10gbe Lan on HEDT systems like i9-X intel and threadrippers ? basically i have 30TB+ on my gaming computer , i will upgrade it soon. right now its 8700k + 1080 Ti , not enough for my work. also want to try raytracing. anyhow so am checking pricing on 10850k its very cheap for the performance I get. but i am wondering how it will handle what I will use it for. I am building a Nas/Plex server to offload the plex workload from my main computer so i can do rendering and many more stuff + gaming. so i want to transfer huge files back and forth between them. so 10gbe is a must , because right now my 30TB+ hardisks dont have a back up and they are full so i will at least need to add another 10TB to be able to expand (40 total) then put 40 TB in the Nas/server so will Z590 be able to handle Sata ssd's + hardisks (all sata ports occupied + 10gbe onboard (not add in card) also my Gpu. ofc i wont be gaming sametime transfering files.but how will the pcie lanes be divided and i cant afford threadripper , because my Nas/server will be a threadripper 1950x or 1920x (found them cheap with motherboards) so server side I am safe there is many many pcie lanes to handle 10gbe + nvme ssd (pcie 3.0 to save $$) and as many sata's i want to use and add pcie cards as i can afford hhhh
