  1. Hi Guys, i recently bought a dual shock 4 controller for my pc and so far it works wonders wired to my pc. However, i want to use it as wireless so i am currently on the look out for a bluetooth dongle. Question is, how do i know a bluetooth dongle is compatible to the dual shock 4? i read the dual shock 4 has a v 2.1+edr, does that mean i would need a bluetooth dongle that has the same 2.1+edr? if it doesn't work like that, how to i determine of a dongle will work for my Dual shock 4? thanks in advance.
  2. yeah sorry about that. mistake on my part. I did put the stores that are available to me at the bottom of my post if that helps
  3. yeah but since i'm on a budget so i'll settle with a slight overclock for now and upgrade to a water cooler next time.
  4. -I chose that GPU for 2 reasons, 1st is budget, that is the cheapest GTX 970 available besides the palit reference card and i actually read a lot of good reviews on it. I do however also read a couple of bad reviews on it on forums. But basically, if you look at the links of the shops that im going to, other cards are about $40 more and would totally change the budget of the whole thing -Memory choice is for the theme color that i am trying to follow. -As for PSU, same reason for the GPU, moving to an equivalent PSU but gold modular would cost me $20 more. I actually picked that PSU since i saw that the PSU was atleast a tier 2 in most PSUs here http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html While i think your suggestions would improve my build and i appreciate the effort, i would still like to keep my budget for the whole rig. Anyways, besides the parts that you pointed out? are the other parts okay? PS: most of the prices in my country(philippines) is different from the US so while there are small changes in price for some parts (bronze to gold PSU) the price difference here is significant.
  5. Hi Guys, So after several weeks of reading and planning my build and asking around, i have finally decided on my final build. So the build's purpose is for gaming at 1080p at max settings. I'm planning to steady OC my CPU to probably around 4.3ghz-4.5ghz max. Hoping for a blue and black theme(not very important) - worst case that i dont follow my color scheme, i'll just put a logisys led light like this ( )Hopefully, what i came up with is the most optimized build that I could put up. Few final dilemma that i have are the MOBO and the CPU Cooler so i hope you guys could convince me that either i have the best option already or i could have something better with the same price. EDIT: Removed the prices since it caused misundestandings with my location - stores that are available to me are below this post. CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor CPU Cooler: Scythe Mugen 4 79.0 CFM CPU Cooler Motherboard: ASRock Z97 EXTREME4 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard Memory: G.Skill Ares Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory Storage: Crucial M550 256GB 2.5" Solid State Drive Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive Video Card: Palit GeForce GTX 970 4GB JetStream Video Card Case: NZXT S340 (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case Power Supply: SeaSonic 520W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply Reason for picking the motherboard: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2383187/motherboard-tier-list-z97-chipset.html http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/mainstream-gaming-z97-motherboard,3824.html ***still considering the asus z97 pro gamer even if it has a different color scheme CPU Cooler: torn between the scythe ashura/mugen 4/xigmatek dark knight/CM hyper 212x which all have good reviews and are priced similarly EDIT: decided to replace the cooler to Scythe Ashura because of this review http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Scythe/Ashura/9.html Let me know your thoughts What do you guys think? Please do note that if you're going to suggest replacement, it is subject to availability with the store i'm planning to buy which is linked below. and hopefully budget is same with the replacement. Thanks. Store im going to buy: http://www.tipidpc.com/useritems.php?username=dynaquestpc http://www.tipidpc.com/useritems.php?username=PCHub
  6. Hi Guys, This is the first time im building a gaming rig and after some research, i have decided to build the build below. Problem is, i still don't have a HSF for this build. I'm a beginner so i wont be overclocking immediately but i plan to overclock mg 4690k eventually to 4.2-4.3ghz once i know how to(i dont think i can overclock more anyway due to the motherboard i chose). anyway, i need help for a cooling system that would cool once i overclock. i can only look through the 2 websites i'll be posting below and my budget for it is about Php 2000-Php2500 so please help me buy the best HFS. thanks. 7. yeah i've read about that but what are good budget mobos for amd builds. im familiar with intel motherboards since these are what i use but for amd, i have no ideas.
  8. How about mobo? Thanks for the reply
  9. Hi guys, Im helping a friend build a pc for him to be able to stream hearthstone. I guess that's the main priority but he'd like to play the latest games as well. Problem is the budget. I think he would only be able to afford around $600-700. Im quite familiar with intel builds but i guess for these requirement and budget an amd build would be better. Is this possible? Thanks.
  10. thanks for the replies guys. does asus have any blue and black mobos?
  11. Hi Guys, Im planning to build my first gaming Rig and im confused on which motherboard to buy. I'm currently planning to buy either of the 3. AsRock Z97 Extreme 4 Asus z97 Pro Gamer Gigabyte GA-Z97X-Gaming 5 these mobos are all closely priced in my area. Im currently leaning towards the asrock as i wanted to have a black/blue theme for my rig. However, I'll still prioritize the capabilities of the mobo. Also, since im not really knowledgeable with overclocking, i would prefer the one with something more friendly for OC beginners. Feel free to suggest other boards that have the same price range, or cheaper(much better) Thanks.
  12. Thanks for the ideas. But i think i cant afford that GPU, i'll stick with the Palit Jetstream as that is about $100 more in my country. lol.
  13. In addition, i would prefer to pick a mobo that has a bios that is friendly for OC beginners
