t24revl got a reaction from Marinatall_Ironside in Differences between 120.3 and solid mid-plate for Caselabs Magnum SMA8 magnum case
For your first question, the SMA8 (hopefully you know this) has two chambers: the top where most of the components are and the bottom where the psu, extra drive bays, etc sit. The mid-plate is what separates these two chambers. A solid mid-plate is just what it says: it's solid. The 120.3 mid-plate has holes cut out so that you could install 3 120mm fans in the middle.

As for the second question, I cannot answer as I do not own the case to be able to determine if it could fit.

Good luck with your decision! It's a very nice case and I would buy one if I could afford one and had the desk space for it.

    Hope this helps!

t24revl got a reaction from matteallsop in GTX 1070 or RADEON RX 480 for Video Editing
I know in the past AMD cards were better for GPU acceleration than NVIDIA but we don't have anything on the RX 480 yet. Wait for some benchmarks to see. I know it was mentioned before, but putting two cards in Crossfire or SLI does NOT equate to double the performance. And for assuming that once card is faster than the other, it's just plain stupid since there is literally no evidence to back that up.
