  1. sick of hearing the stock amd cooler fan ramp up n down so looking at getting a cheap but decent air cooler that will help control the temps a lot better, i do plan on watercooling everything but currently waiting on EKWB to release the watercooled backplate for the ftw3 ultra 3090 card, was looking at the coolermaster 212x which ive heard that the 212 line is awesome, the coolermaster site says you need to also buy an am4 bracket with it and shops have said that it will work with am4 so also got no idea about that sorry for rambling, thanks in advance!
  2. one issue ive been noticing is that some games dont have audio, hopefully fixed it by switching what frequency the virtual output cable uses but will see in the future
  3. was a sampling frequency rate issue, with help from a group on facebook i changed it and now the mic works with sound works, now to see if theres a way to control game audio on voicemeeter
  4. sorry for the late reply, with using the AI-1 connected to the mic and headphones it shows as 1 device, in voicemeeter i set the first input as the mic(AI-1) and set the first output for the headphones(AI-1) i can get sound to work but the mic is flashing red and doesnt work no matter which driver i set it to, ill reinstall voicemeeter banana later when im free and take a screenshot if that helps
  5. how do you control your gameplay audio and microphone audio? currently using streamlabs OBS and the rode NT1 mic and beyerdynamic dt770 80ohms headphones connected to the rode AI-1, tried using voicemeeter banana but can only get output sound to work, guessing its cause the program sees the mic and output(headphones) as the same device? rather not have to buy a mixer(if that would do anything) least for now since ive only started streaming
  6. didnt use msi's software to update the gigabyte motherboard, was saying that i used their software on a previous build that had a msi motherboard in it
  7. bought the rode complete studio kit with audio interface, the NT1 mic and AI-1 audio interface and during my limited use of it so far it picks up a lot of background noise like birds outside, typing and mouse clicking, how can i reduce this? do i need to buy a mixer? (they seem pretty expensive) or is there some software i could use to control volumes and sensitivity? any tips here would be awesome, thanks in advance!
  8. used gigabytes own software to update to F30 and thought oh it may need to update to there and then update up to f33i but no, now its up to date and resizeable bar support says its working
  9. Hi, gonna update the bios for the mobo so i can use resizable bar support, just unsure if i have to update to each version of the bios to the latest one or just upgrade from F11 up to F33i? also not sure if i should update via the bios or to use gigabytes own software @bios to update it(have tried using msi's own software for updating bios on a previous board that ended up bricking it), the mobo does have dual bios' on it which is handy (nearly bricked the mobo once before on accident) pretty noob question but just want to make sure haha, thanks in advance!
  10. do you think the RODE complete studio kit with audio interface kit a good deal? it looks good just needs a boom arm which the PSA1 from RODE will work good
  11. had a read but still cant really decide on what to choose, am a bit lost now
  12. To be honest I just scrolled down and looked at the items you recommended cause I'm lazy haha but will give it a read
  13. bought the beyerdynamic dt770 pro 80ohm headphones, still looking at microphones and an audio interface currently looking at the audio-technica at2020 XLR mic and using the Behringer UM2 to connect the mic and headphones to the pc, does that sound like a good match? or would you switch to something else?
  14. hi all, after some tips and opinions on what is a good place to start when looking at getting a new set of headphones and a new mic, been using the hyperX cloud 2s for ages now while they still work fine i feel like upgrading to something with better sound quality, ive been looking at audio-technica and beyerdynamic for headphones and the beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 80ohm headphones seem to be good(i hope) would i need an amp/dac for those? would you recommend one? and what brands should i look at when looking at microphones? been looking at the Blue Microphones such as their snowball, yeti and yeticaster so any opinions there would be good, would i need some sort of audio interface to connect the headphones and mic to one place then connect that to the pc with a usb cable? or something else entirely? thanks in advance and sorry for the mess of words
  15. how did you guys mount rads to the top of the lian li pc o11 XL case? did you mount fans under the panel or under the rad? also what screws did you use? the included screws that came with the EK vardar EVO 120er fans, the tops isnt quite big enough to secure the fans properly to the case and sometimes go inbetween the openings
  16. i do have the am3 bracket which maybe able to use the stock plastic mounts on the mobo?
  17. Have an old corsair h100i from my first build that's pretty dusty with some sort of amd bracket
  18. my current build https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/YZxkJf got an evga 3080 ftw3 ultra on preorder once that comes and EK releases a waterblock am planning on watercooling everything with 2 360 rads, monoblock for the mobo and the distribution block for the case, what do you guys think of the current build and any tips/advice or opinions about it is welcomed what cpu cooler do you suggest using in the meantime? the stock cooler isnt quite cutting it during these hot days also do you think its worth upgrading to a 5000 series cpu? location: australia budget: cheap but effective cpu cooler Edit: also plan on getting some custom cables to make the runs a lot cleaner
  19. got the RMA approved and is now getting sent back, wonder if the shop will let me know what happened to the board
  20. Is a bit annoying considering I only built the pc a few months ago
  21. Doesn't even attempt to boot when pushing the power button
  22. Built the pc earlier this year and it's been working fine till last Friday, went to turn it on but nothing was working the night before and I had turned it off after updating gpu drivers, sometimes the lights on the motherboard will turn on but after pushing the start button the lights go out and nothing boots tried reseating gpu, power cables, different psu and even tried taking the motherboard out of the case with ram CPU m.2 drive and power cables for mobo and CPU and still not working also took out the ram, m.2 and CPU and still nothing, haven't got anything else to test the CPU and motherboard separately so got no idea what to do, is motherboard dead? Or is there anything else I should try before doing an RMA?
