  1. Is it possible to run watch dogs in DX 10? I don't have a dx 11 compatible graphics card.. I haven't been successful in my attempts. Anyone know a workaround? Installed through steam. Any and all help is appreciated Thank You
  2. Would you recommend 2 smaller drives in Raid 0?
  3. You can't raid an SSD and an HDD? Wow..
  4. Here is my updated build of my X99 PC I've been planning. I plan on running 5760x1080 on full graphics settings. Let me know what you think. Wireless is required as a cable cannot be routed to my room currently. SSD and HDD will be configured in RAID-1 (Monitors/Stand are included in this price) I know, "X99 isn't for gaming!" This build is close to the same price as a z97 based build, so why not go x99 and be "future proof." Any and all feedback is appreciated, thanks! 5. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/ZDmcBm Sounds like this is all you need. If you want to blow your budget and do surround gaming, then up the build. But it sounds to me like you game on a single monitor, this should be just fine for you. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/bRyzpg Here is a "blow your budget" build. You'll be good for 1080p Surround or even Smooth 1600p gaming. Has a BD drive and even has a color scheme!
  6. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2TDHpg No OS or Optical Drive in this build Managed to get 2400 MHz RAM in 2 DIMMS 5820K sounds like all you need. No reason to add all that extra price. The 780T wasn't on there, but the 760T was close in price. 850W should be enough room for some overclocking for you, but you can always add extra for fun! Were you looking at something like this?
  7. Might I suggest a Hybrid drive? https://pcpartpicker.com/part/seagate-internal-hard-drive-st1000dx001 They even have a 2TB version for $112.Go with the suggested PSU instead of your current one. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/j6mcBm Fixed both of those issues for you and knocked off $200. -More storage Via Hybrid drive -Easier install (No additional setup) - ~Same Boot speed as SSD
  8. I'd get the 8320 if I were you. look into a Hybrid drive rather than a dual drive setup like that. Os loads just as fast as on an SSD and you have the storage of an HDD for a very good price. SSHDD- http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00EIQTOFY/?tag=pcpapi-20 $77 for a 1TB drive.
  9. My X99 build is only $200 more than my Z97 build. I plan on running a 3 monitor surround setup and an Aux monitor. Dual 970s is better than a single 980 for that. The extra horsepower won't go to waste, especially not in the future. X99 also is better for overclocking, if I'm not mistaken? Z97 Build- http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Firenetics/saved/QB7scf
  10. I'm planning on doing a new build some time in the (hopefully) near future. I wanted to build it on the X99 chipset for the new CPU and the more "futureproof" system. Better performance, etc.. Leave me suggestions/comments/concerns, anything helps. I plan on running 3 of these monitors for gaming. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236313 PCPartPicker part list: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/tZwZWZ Price breakdown by merchant: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/tZwZWZ/by_merchant/ CPU: Intel Core i7-5820K 3.3GHz 6-Core Processor ($384.99 @ NCIX US) CPU Cooler: Swiftech H220-X 55.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($139.99 @ NCIX US) Motherboard: Asus X99-DELUXE ATX LGA2011-3 Motherboard ($381.99 @ SuperBiiz) Memory: Crucial 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR4-2133 Memory ($99.99 @ Newegg) Memory: Crucial 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR4-2133 Memory ($99.99 @ Newegg) Storage: Crucial MX100 512GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($209.99 @ Adorama) Storage: Crucial MX100 512GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($209.99 @ Adorama) Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 4GB WINDFORCE Video Card (2-Way SLI) ($369.99 @ Amazon) Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 4GB WINDFORCE Video Card (2-Way SLI) ($369.99 @ Amazon) Case: Phanteks Enthoo Pro ATX Full Tower Case ($99.99 @ Newegg) Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA 1300 G2 1300W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($178.98 @ Newegg) Optical Drive: Asus BW-12B1ST/BLK/G/AS Blu-Ray/DVD/CD Writer ($59.98 @ OutletPC) Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (OEM) (64-bit) ($89.98 @ OutletPC) Total: $2695.84 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2014-09-19 23:52 EDT-0400
  11. You should probably wait until the 9xx series comes out. There are also cheaper x99 boards available.
