    Thanks for the help. Regarding the rules, I wasn't quite sure under what category this falls, so I figured to just do it.

    About the W7 serial, I got a legit one from an old laptop thinking I could just verify it, but kind of forgot they were different versions... Bummer. I'm gonna try the boot suggestion.

    Until now, I've downloaded all my operating systems illegally. Now I want to better my life, but I can't quite figure it out. The very moment I purchased the Windows 10 key, my Windows 7 discovered it was not legit. Now, I can't upgrade to Windows 10 because my Windows 7 isn't legit. I could of course reset my PC and just install W10 plain on a clean HDD, but I like my stuff and having to re-install it would be a major pain. I've searched the web a little but no-one seems to have a solution. Does anyone here know a way?
