  1. I would send my mother a On Hub router because he is paying for 100 Mbps internet but is getting around 20 Mbps with this standard router we got from our provider. OnHub Wireless Router from Google and TP-LINK https://www.amazon.c...d_vO.xwbJMEXQXJ
  2. Update: Its been a while but I waited till I had full access to my friends computer. Now that I have, I've put my cpu in his computer and turned it on and after showing some number in the bottom of my screen it turned off again after 5 seconds. So i thought the problem was my CPU. Then I put his cpu in my computer and turned it on and the exact same problem occured with my CPU; it would turn on but not post a signal. So that made me think it was my motherboard that was the problem. After these experiments its between the CPU and the motherboard. But which one of the two is broken?
  3. Alright I just put it on a testbench but it still didn't work. I have no idea what's wrong. I'll give it to a rma
  4. Yeah it's actually in the Netherlands. The website offers to put the computer together for you but I decided to do it myself together with linus' videos. When you put it together yourself they charge you more when something breaks because they think you fucked up which I probably did to be honest. I will put the computer together on my motherboards box and tell you if it worked or nah. Thanks for the help so far though!
  5. Well youre wrong Sir. I did buy separate parts from one website and built it myself. It's a good website but that's why they charge me for every separate part.
  6. I didn't mention the USB 3.0 because I thought it would only effect the USB 3.0 but seen as though you know more about then I do I thought I'd just mention it in case. I will also definitely bring to a rma but I need to know what's broken. I'm not trying to fix it but rma will charge me for every part I bring in that's not broken in any way. So before I hand in the entire computer with 10 parts I need to know what's broken.
  7. I don't believe the monitor is the problem because I've used 2 different monitors with 3 different cables. And the 8 pin connector behind the i/o is connected properly but I did have some difficulty with disconnecting it in my old case, so it could be damaged. But if the motherboard doesn't have full power would it still turn on. Also one thing that did kinda break during the assembly were the pins of the USB 3.0 connector because when I pulled out the USB 3 cable for the front i/o the plastic cap came off of the pins on the motherboard. With some trouble I put it back on but I'm not sure if that will effect the motherboard in any way. And tomorrow I will put everything on a makeshift testbench.
  8. Btw my friend has a r9 290x. Not sure if that makes a difference.
  9. Alright I will try to find someone with a different gpu and try to update the UEFI. But is it just a coincidence that my computer stopped working right after I put it back together in a new case? Because the same day it was working perfectly.
  10. Great! I believe my friend has a r9 280x, does that mean it's just a UEFI update? And how can I update my UEFI if I can't get a signal to my screen? Thanks a lot for your help btw.
  11. I have a MSI 970 gaming motherboard with a MSI r9 285 gpu. My cpu is a amd fx 6350. I don't know if the PCIe slot selected is the correct one but I can't get into the BIOS because there still isn't a signal coming from my computer so I can't change it.
  12. Alright status update, just got my friends gpu and plugged it into my computer but it still didn't work. Then I plugged my gpu into his computer and it did work there. I also took one stick of his ram and put it in my computer and it also didn't work. So I think we've just narrowed it down to the cpu or the motherboard that is causing the problem. How can I check which one is faulty
  13. I don't think I have integrated graphics but I can borrow a graphics card from a friend.
  14. I remember the first time turning it on I already had the cable plugged in, but then I tried plugging it in after it was already on to see if the gpu was giving out any signal at al. But I cleared CMOS anyway and reconnected everything again but still nothing. Also tried 3 different cables with 2 different monitors. Is it diffenitly the gpu that is not working here?
  15. Already did this, I've also connected the gpu to a different PCI-E slot incase the other got damaged during the move and reconnected every cable.
