  1. I don't plan on overclocking at the moment as because I don't need it for modern games, and I didn't fair well in the silicon lottery with my cpu. There is a 360 rad and 240
  2. I have saved my penny's and it is now time to re-watercool my pc. The first iteration of my pc consisted of a: i7 4770, gigbyte m1 sniper, x2 evga gtx 970 ftw, corseair rm 850w, ocz ssd, seagate hdd in a define r5. This was water cooled and if you want you can see photographs on my profile however it was nothing special. I sold that pc to a friend after i had removed the water cooling components because fore some reason he didn't want it to be water cooled. So now i have some spare parts sitting in my cupboard doing nothing. The new pc. This consists of a i7 5820k, Asus x99 Deluxe, x2 Gigabyte GTX 980 TI, Corsair RM850w (to be upgraded to the HX1000w), Corsair H100i, same storage and the Define S. For the cooling I will be reusing the CPU water block, radiators and possibly the pumb but i am not quite sure on that yet. The tubing will be PETG 12/16mm, gpu blocks i am going with the EK-FC980 GTX Ti WF3 and am undecided on the back plate. I think the nickel would look grate but im not sure. The fittings depend on what back plate i go with (either black or nickel). For the coolant i am going with Mayhems pastel white. I have got the main components i just need to order the last bits. Please excuse my very crude drawing of the loop design. I am open to design suggestions.
  3. Well this makes scene. I have two 980ti. I had to overclock them and got a perfect score.
  4. I have done that. it is just a inconvenience
  5. This is not a problem, more of a inconvenience. When I turn on or wake my pc one of the monitors is not recognized by one of the gpus. This is fixed by just unplugging the display port and reinserting it. All 3 monitors are setup the same (except color as they are individually calibrated). I have done the usual stuff like reinstalling drivers. Just a point in the right direction would be nice. 6. I had a cooling issue with my 5820k and a H100i. my problem that the mounting screws was not would not fit properly with my mobo. so although the cooler was mounted and screwed in as far as they would go, the heat sync was not making proper contact with the cpu. Fortunately I had just changed from a full custom cooling loop and had the mounting screws from a ekwb water block spare. let me know is this hellpes.
  7. My 970's did a similar thing. Windows 10 was my problem. I downgraded to Windows7 and everything is fine
  8. With regards to the Asus X99 Deluxe. Mine has been nothing but trouble. The Asus teck support were of no use to me and would not talk to me over the phone and insisted on emailing but they take a day and half to reply and when they do they treated me like a 3 year-old with no experience with computers. I am never buying anything from Asus again because of how they handled my problem. At least evga, msi, corsair have good customer support. I do like the design of the x99 deluxe and when it did work it was perfect. I managed to get an amazing oc on my I7 5820k (I did put the cpu back to stock after). But the layout of the board is stupid if you are running sli (slots 1 and 4). You can't see the q-code led screen, or access the bottom of the board because the card sits above it. It is an annoying design floor.
  9. My Asus x99 deluxe has caused me nothing but problems. I did OC my CPU. I got it to 4.7ghz stable (I ran a CPU stress test for 2.5 hours with out a crash.) , I thought this was a bit much so I set it to 4.5ghz to be safe and ran Aida64 with the new OC for 20hours and it didn't crash. Then randomly it crashed and said that the OC was the cause. So I reset the bios to default and restarted. I got to the windows log on screen and it crashed again. This time when I went to restart it powers on for a split second and turned off again. I remove the coms battery and reinstall it and turn it back on. It boots and gets stuck on post code 53 (incompatible ram or ram error) and turns off. I decided that the bios was not resetting everything t default so I reinstalled the bios and turn it on. It stops at 53and stays there. I used the memory check function on the board and it boots up fine only to find that 2 sticks of ram are not recognised. I put the two sticks into different slots and power on and they are now recognised. At this point a assume that I killed the ram slots when I OC the ram. I counted my blessing and accepted that I messed up. Two days went by and the whole thing started again but without the OC. I was going away for a few days so I took it to a computer repair shop so I didn't have to think about it. They turned it on and it was fine. I left it with them and they said it was fine 4 days later. I take it home and I have deja-vu. I take it back and Ti is still broken. Eventually they say that either the mono is dead or the ram is. But they did get the pc to boot but it would get stuck in post code 53. They couldn't decide whether the mobo was displaying the wrong code or the ram was dead. I get the pc home remove all the ram and reinsert one stick and turn it on. I then press the memory check button to see if it works and it doesn't. I did this with each stick in each slot for a bit. On the third stick the system boots to the bios. I made sure that everything was set to default and saved and exited. One by one I installed the ram and the system is fine. I called them up and told them what happened and they said that they have done all of that. The computer has been running fine fort over 18 hours. I ran Aida64 for an hour with no problems. I also ran Asus diagnostic repair program to see if it found any problem and everything passed. On a side note have you ever tried to call Asus technical support... I don't think it exists.
  10. All I will say is that Asus technical support suck. it is the worst I have ever encounters. And you have to get hold of them some how.
  11. Unfortunately I have already tried that. It normally works. I think she is in a grump with me because she knew I was changing parts around.
  12. So my new Asus x99 deluxe and my new 32gb kit of hyper X ram are DOA. Yea for me.
