  1. The case, power supply and cooler is $229 altogether, why is it so expensive?
  2. Hi guys, I'm planning my first PC build and these are the parts I've planned on putting together: PCPartPicker part list: http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/vVx2jX Price breakdown by merchant: http://au.pcpartpick...jX/by_merchant/ CPU: Intel Core i5-4690 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($238.00 @ Centre Com) CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($39.00 @ Mwave Australia) Motherboard: Asus H97-PLUS ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($128.00 @ Centre Com) Memory: Kingston Fury Black Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($97.00 @ Centre Com) Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($65.00 @ CPL Online) Video Card: Gigabyte Radeon R9 280 3GB WINDFORCE Video Card ($249.00 @ Mwave Australia) Case: Cooler Master N600 Windowed ATX Mid Tower Case ($85.00 @ CPL Online) Power Supply: Corsair CX 600W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($105.00 @ CPL Online) Optical Drive: Samsung SH-224DB/RSBS DVD/CD Writer ($20.00 @ Mwave Australia) Keyboard: Gigabyte Force K3 Wired Gaming Keyboard ($22.00 @ CPL Online) Mouse: Razer DeathAdder 2013 Wired Optical Mouse ($44.00 @ CPL Online) Speakers: Logitech Z130 5W 2ch Speakers ($24.00 @ CPL Online) Total: $1116.00 Is there anything that I don't need or can be replaced by a cheaper version? Any and all help would be appreciated. If anyone could suggest why I might not need a CPU cooler or if getting a case that comes with a 500W PSU for like $70 would not be a good idea? I don't require an SSD, I don't think it is necessary. Also could anyone tell me extra things I might need, whether its hardware or zip-ties.. 1. Budget & Location originally $600 AUD... then it went up to $900... and now the planned build is >$1,100 help! it seems that this PC is standard in the gaming community but it is well above my orignal budget. 2. Aim For gaming mostly, could be used for adobe applications such as Photoshop/After Effects/In Design mainly. 3. Monitors Running 2 monitors 1080p. 4. Peripherals Windows 7. 5. Why are you upgrading? Upgrading because at the moment I only have a $500 laptop I bought in retail 2 years ago and I want to go into PC Gaming.
