Hi LinusTechTips forums,
Long time lurker, first time poster here.
I've been wanting to build my ultimate system for quite some time now and I'm finally able to do this thing! I make daily YouTube videos which makes me spend a lot of time editing and rendering video. Besides that, I also livestream pretty much every single day, do graphic design and a whole lot more. To be short: I play video games, spent half my day making videos and livestreaming. It all requires a lot of CPU power.
Now that the next X99 chipset is released and with it the new i7's and DDR4 RAM I've been selecting parts. I'm going to need to be able to video edit (big files), livestream (1080p with 48fps) and play video games. The only thing I am bringing from my old system is my R9 280X which I will upgrade to a new nvidea card at the end of the year, when they release their new series.
The reason why I am going with a single GPU (which eliminates the 5930k) is because the software I use pretty much every day, Adobe Creative Cloud, does not like dual GPU's as much as games do.
CPU: Intel i7 5820k
Cooler: Corsair H100i
Motherboard: MSI X99S SLI Plus
RAM: Corsair 32 GB DDR4
PSU: Corsair RM850
SSD: Crucial MX100 512GB
HDD: WD Black Caviar 4TB
Case: NZXT H440
I am very curious if there is anything you would change if you were in my shoes. I do have some extra money budgetted, so if something is missing, let me know and I will consider it all.
Also, I am going for an overall Black & White look where silence is key (don't want the PC interfering with my microphone). Would you swap out the fans of the h100i or the case?
I am from the Netherlands, running two 4K monitors for work. (gaming in 1080p).
Thanks in advance!
