  1. Cheers Yeah I will have to think about it I just needed to know if they were compatible thank you, It looks like I will have to go with a USB solution. Cheers
  2. Hello I have a Frankenstein LAN PC build that I have integrated into a briefcase and it runs well surprisingly that it cost me $80 for components. Anyway, my problem is that I am running a Lenovo SFF 7303 Motherboard it's horrible but I got it for $5 can't complain. On the board, there is a PCIe 16x that I currently have a graphics card connected to by an extension cable so it fits in the case, the only problem with that is it blocks my only other port the PCI 8X (Not Express). I need this port for a network card I have tried USB dongles and they are rubbish so I need a full-size network card. The only way I can fit one is by extension cables to loop around the graphics card. I have an old network card TP-Link thing its ok that runs of PCIe 1x so I have two questions regarding. One can I run a PCIe 1x straight from a PCI 8x if not can I do it the long way by getting a PCIe 8x to PCIe 16x converter flip it so it fits in the PCI 8x slot and then run a PCIe 1x out of it. I trust the last one might be ambitious. I will appreciate any help given or ideas to how else I can get Wi-Fi to a briefcase maybe by USB somehow? Cheers Lucien
  3. @Inrix yeah I cannot find any way to do so cheers for the help though i did use the program from other macros =D.
  4. HelloI was just wondering after purchasing a new pair of Corsair void wireless headphones I found that the Corsair utility engine had 5 pre-sets bass, movie, fps, chat and pure. I was just wondering I i could maybe hook those pre-sets to macros so I docent have to open the program every time I wanted to change it. I would also like to know how to make the Dolby surround a macro so I can turn that on and off on the fly. Appreciate some help with this.Cheers Lucien
  5. @STRMfrmXMN Cheers They fit modern day standards its ok but thanks thats all i needed
  6. Hello I am currently through a zero dollar LAN build of which the main goal is build a somewhat decent pc for absolutely nothing. So far I have all the pieces but I need help as I do not think my power supply is satisfactory for my build (spec list below). The actual graphics card takes an 8 pin and 6 pin connector I only have one 4 pin connector on the PSU but, I do have 4 molex cables so I can get a molex splitter so that I have 5 molex cables. I will use 1 for my HDD and the other 4 for a molex to 6 pin and molex to 8 pin connector for the graphics card so I can power the card it just the question is the card able to run properly. Toms hardware says the card under load (which will never really happen) runs at 290w. My last option is to use another 350w power supply I have salvaged to power the graphics card separately but I would like to avoid that if possible this whole build is eventually going into a briefcase as a bit of fun. Help will be appreciated Cheers Lucien MB- Unknown 2006 Lenovo business computer board RAM- DDR2 4gb CPU- Unknown details core 2 duo GPU- Radeon HD6970 PSU- 1995 450w CASE- briefcase (I also do not want to hear how bad this build is power and performance wise I paid nothing for it I do not care about that as long as it runs like cs at at least 60 on low)
  7. look sorry I have been away I will look cheers for the little help Ill try and fix it myself

  10. Hello everyone Lately I have had massive problems with all my games nothing seems to work well I get longer loading times and terrible frame rate that I have never had. The three main games this has happened on is CSGO, GTA5 and most importantly my DiRT Rally I do not know what is going on. I used to get good frames on all my games (specs Below) but now hey have all gone to crud in 1 week I always keep my drivers up to date so I know that is not a problem I have even done a roll back on Graphics and windows nothing unfortunately I have done a reboot of Windows 10 nothing, It is not heat problems as well I have monitors playing the games I do not get above 38 degrees I have a very cold build so nothing really over heats. It is not just a problem with those three games not one game that was made in the last 4-5 years works I am stuck playing GTA SA currently which isn't all to bad hell even super hexagon I am only getting 40 fps on when I originally got 500 average. Look like everyone on this site I know my way around a computer I look after my precious no viruses no problems no nothing my computer runs like a dream but My games are not for some reason I can not really pin point which day it was the games went haywire but I believe I GOT A Nvidia driver that day but I have rolled it back and nothing I believe its Nvidia's problem personally (I have also gotten rid of windows 10 and Nvidas in game recording interface in hope). Any help will be appreciated I have been trying to figure this one out for around a week and nothing has revealed itself Cheers Lucien CPU. I5 4590 GPU. GTX 960 windforce RAM. !6gb G.skill MB. 11. Hello everyone (pardoning my self now for my poor knowledge of the English language) i have a question my friend is having a build done soon but he can only spend $800 so all of that is going towards ram cpu mb and hdd and ssd the graphics card on the other hand he can either get a 750ti or crossfire yes i know an oldd card but the hd 6970 he has one and one moew would cost $150 much less than a 750ti and we already have one so that makes it an easier choice and if crossfiring them would be better how do i do it ive never had two of the same card before especially amd im an Nvidia person i don't dis amd though its just ive had a bad experience with them burning out my first computer. so your help would be most appreciated and another question on that his dads work bought these really good computers with 4790ks in them there really good they ordrd 10 but got 11 so he might have all those parts for him if there going to be stubborn about refunding it so the idea is if that hopefully happens he can get a 970 and if so is the crossfire eqevelant still better if so how much worse would the dual 6970s be compared to the 970 any way cheers for helping yeah i know abit of a difficult question but anyhelp would be most appreciated cheers Lucien
  12. OK guys cheers so if you were to recommend a power supply size that would be great and sorry about my grammar im not good i know sorry
  13. Hey guys just a question I'm doing a small build for a friend his parents hate him on the computer so he cant spend a cent on one so my friends and I are pulling apart old work school and personal computers to get him a computer that can run counterstrike ksp and Jc2 pretty much those are his most demanding games and we've managed to get a build its shit I know but a friend donated a gpu for free so that's a good point to start all I'm asking is would the psu power what is there and just on a side not no giving shit about the build it literally costs NOTHING so I feel its pretty good and i want my question answered not talked about please cheers Lucien Cpu/ i5 2nd gen (not sure what one sorry) Gpu/ Amd HD 6970 ram/ 8gb ddr3 1333mhz MB/ dell optiplex 390DT board (ive checked it all out it will work) Hdd/ 360Gb (yeah i know tiny but he doesn't care its not hard to upgrade and the Power supply is a thermal take 750w 80+bronze efficiency modular
