  1. I'm with PlusNet (BT) - It's just dropped out again in the middle of a game and could only start it again by restarting the whole computer. So many services keep stopping/disabling themselves such as Windows Audio Services etc and I can't even get into event viewer as I get the error "event log service is unavailable - verify that the service is running." which it is... I'm going to try reinstalling.. Wish me luck.
  2. There are 4 other computers using the same network and non are having problems - only me. Using CAT6 cabling and it's not been bent/twisted at all
  3. Using AVG and Malwarebytes but I've never had a problem with this before?
  4. Hey guys, My computer has been having a little fit recently and I can't seem to figure out why... Sometimes when I turn it on I wont be able to get internet connection at all - The only way to fix it is to restart my entire computer. Disabling my adapter doesn't fix it or troubleshooting.. Occasionally my internet will randomly drop completely when it was working fine before but it doesn't show as not connected, it only shows as identifying and no matter what I do I can't fix it.. Constantly my adapter shows as identifying yet I have access to the internet. I have run out of ideas.. I have tried the following: Disabling my adapter Disabling all other adapters Troubleshooting adapters Set google as default dns Updated my drivers.. This is what it looks like constantly even WITH internet connection:
  5. Hey guys, So i recently got a new laptop with windows installed on the SSD that it came with. The problem is, it's only a very small SSD but it seems that everything wants to install to the SSD as it's the C: drive but it's going to fill up very fast. I have a D: drive which is a 1tb HDD but have no idea how to make it so that's the default drive for everything to go to. Any help? Cheers

  7. Hey guys, I have decided to buy a G550jk after many many hours of searching for a laptop that suits my needs. The problem is that I can't seem to find anywhere that it is available to be purchased from in the uk so does anyone have a clue? If not can you suggest other options for me to consider Cheers, Sam
  8. Would prefer windows to be honest. I feel like if I go for a Mac in my price range I won't be getting the best I can be.
  9. Not available I'm afraid any other suggestions? I can't justify buying a Mac
  10. Looked at the y50 and I just can't bring myself to buy it with those storage specs. 5400rpm HDD , no msata and no other slots That laptop looks great but do they do anything similar on a UK website?
  11. Hey, So I know some of you may of seen my last thread asking for help deciding on a laptop for work/mid tier gaming but i've decided that i'd rather spend a little less money and keep the gaming on the desktop as that's what it's there for. I need help deciding on a laptop to buy, what i'm looking for is as follows: Lightweight (Must be able to carry it around) 15.6" so not too big but not too small. Good storage options - 7200rpm or above (Pref want a SSD Option) I7 CPU Anything else such as discreet graphics would just be a bonus. Price range around £700-900 Thanks.
  12. Looking the £2000 one is the one with a gt750m which I'm afraid, is a little out of my price range
  13. OK yeah that's a little too much for me I like the look of exotic but don't believe they deliver to the UK Do you think a £1000 Mac pro would be able to handle them?
  14. Is it possible to get a macbook with descrete gtaphics or would that be pushing it sky high price wise? Also sorry to be a pain but do xotic deliver to the UK?
  15. I mean it doesn't have to be "ultrathin" but not a pain in the bum to carry around. I was even considering a macbook first but I don't know, I feel it would be better for the course i'm doing (IT Security and forensics) but it would be nice to play atleast some games on it.
