  1. I currently have a 980ti and looking for upgrades rather soon; I’m planning on buying another 2x 1080p monitors so I want some extra power to keep games running at ultra. Would it be better to buy another 980ti for ~£250 or sell and buy a 1080ti for ~550-600. Thanks
  2. Yeah I just used DDU and installed an older nvidia driver, seems to have fixed the problem (y)
  3. All games had their equivalent v-sync settings disabled
  4. I've bought a new laptop and every game I've played, the fps is capped at 60. This only seems to happen when applications are fullscreen only. I've already turned v sync off in nvidia control & the games but the problem is still occurring. I'm using high performance power plan as well. My specs are: i5 7300hq GTX1050 8GB RAM At this point I'm tempted to install a fresh copy of windows and hope for the best... Edit: It is 100% linked with my refresh rate as if I change the freq. then the cap changes also.
  5. I'm probably gonna skip Sandy Bridge cpus since Ivy Bridge seems to be about 10% stronger, also native USB3 and PCI-E 3.0. I'll probably look into either a 3570k and a Z68 or a 3770 for max ~£120.
  6. That was my original plan. Just wanted to see if I could stretch my budget and pick up any better CPUs, especially something like a Xeon; maybe a E3 1230 v2 or something.
  7. I was going to buy this originally: https://uk.webuy.com/product.php?sku=SCPUINTI53570KA#.V4tauOgrKM8
  8. I have a £120 budget for a short term CPU upgrade. I can buy a Z68 mobo to overclock for £30 if someone finds a unlocked CPU for £90. I was originally going to get a 3570k for £85 and a Z68 for £30 to overclock. What's the best CPU I can currently buy, used or new i dont care, that's 1155. I already have a 1155 H61M mobo. My rig is: i3 3220 GTX660 6GB RAM CX430
  9. Awesome man. What FPS have you been getting on games with that 970?
  10. I've never overclocked before so I still need to learn - my friend is doing it with my luckily but I'll probably just end up using Asus AI suite to do it for me lol.
  11. My friend used the mobo with a 3570k, I'll just need to update the BIOS.
  12. I'm buying the mobo from a friend and the CPU from CEX. I just hope CEX is reputable and the CPU I get hasnt been running 4.8ghz 24/7 for a year.
  13. That'll be the mobo I'm getting, sorry. I have a 212 evo in push/pull to cool the CPU too. A GPU will come later on probably, something like a 1070 when my budget increases - i'll move onto a i7 6700k or something then.
  14. From what I've seen, the i7 is more than what I'm buying the i5 and mobo for. I've messaged a few people who are selling but so far no reasonable priced i7s have popped up.
