  1. no, but I'll look around for another drive or get a new one and try that out. I'll give an update on what happens
  2. yeah i've done that and retried the tool many times with the same result, one thing i noticed is that after the error I have to reformat the drive or else the creation tool wont detect it. The drive I'm using is a sandisk cruzer glide 32gb
  3. I'm not sure how to find the format the drive is in but the file system is ntfs
  4. For some reason the windows media creation tool can't download windows onto my 30gb USB drive, I've reformatted the USB and tried again multiple times even went to services to enable some services that windows needs according to this video I watched and nothing. From the research I did most people get this error when installing windows onto their PC but I've found no one that had the same problem as me for creating a bootable USB drive. Anyone know how to fix this problem?
  5. yeah thats why I was leaning towards the first option, so after I install windows on my ssd and plug my hdd back in do I need to remove anything windows 10 related on the hdd or does it sort it self out on its own?
  6. yeah thats what I was planning to do, put windows and a few games on the ssd for the faster speed and use the hdd to store files and programs I dont need to load fast. I just wasn't sure if removing my hdd and putting it back after installing windows on the ssd was better than using a program that just clones the os onto the ssd
  7. I looked around and heard some people say you just gotta remove the hdd and install windows normally on the ssd and others say you download a program that specifically clones windows onto it. I'm thinking about doing the whole remove the hdd and plug it in when I'm done installing windows, which one of these is the best way to do it? The ssd is 500gb while the hdd is 1tb and nearly full
  8. accidentally tried installing the 760gma bios instead of the 760gm bios
  9. so uh funny story, turns out I was trying to install the 760gma-p34 bios onto my 760gm-p34. But yeah I got out of that screen once I removed the usb, for some reason that didn't work until today. Anyway got my new bios and everything's good ?
  10. Yeah I'm about to check on my ram, I heard that the 3 repeating short beeps mean there's something up with the ram
  11. I've been on this screen for 40 minutes all my computer has been doing is beeping 3 times over and over is this normal behavior? I got here trying to update my msi 760gm-p34(fx) bios, I tried booting from a new bios since it was the only option than showed the update file. I quick formatted the USB to fat32 before I did all this don't know if that matters and the only files on it are the bios update files I got from msi. Is there anyway to get passed this screen? Did I brick my PC?
  12. It sounds exactly like the boot up beep except it happens in bursts over and over while it says it's reading my USB, I can't tell if I'm stuck in this screen because I'm not letting this PC beep long enough to find out. I attached a photo of what I'm getting. My specs are Msi 760GM-p34(fx) Fx 8350 (yeah I know it's too powerful for the board, I'm trying to undervolt it so it can handle it. That's how I got here) Sapphire r9 280 3gb Hyper 212 evo 1tb hdd Seasonic 600w psu Also if anyone knows how long it takes to boot from a usb lemme know, I left for a couple of minutes before I got sick of the beeps and got nowhere.
  13. yeah I got it dirt cheap but to be honest if I knew that I needed to upgrade my mobo for it I would of gone with a ryzen 5 2600 since it would have costed around the same with all the new ram and mobo
  14. Ight thanks fellas I disabled core 7&8 since I don't know much about under volting and under clocking. Gonna go try it out in some games
  15. yo so I recently upgraded to a fx 8350 but the thing is I didn't research anything about my mobo and it turns out my msi 760gm-p34(fx) does not support this cpu. Before I found out about this I've been gaming on it for around 2 days and it has been throttling me down to 1.4mhz every in game every now and then. I think something on the board is making it throttle since my cpu only gets to 57C, I'm planning on getting a new mobo. Should I stop gaming on it until then? is there anything I can do to make it work on my current set up like buy some hearsinks for the vrm or underclock my cpu? and is there a chance that I damaged my cpu while gaming on it? https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16813132836 https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16813128602 I think these are 2 good options i'm not planning on overclocking but if anyone knows of better mobos or if these are bad choices lemme know I might be able to get a good deal on cyber monday or black friday. my system specs if they're needed FX 8350 sapphire r9 280 3gb 8gb ram (4x2) 600w seasonic psu hyper 212 evo cooler 1tb hdd atx/micro atx compatible case
  16. i noticed that while watching 60fps videos on youtube it looks way smoother than 60fps in a game, why?
  17. i dont know why he spent so much on random things but can we talk about the upgrades?
