  1. i just ran crystal..all good..and what if my gpu is to blame?
  2. i've run only chkdsk..no errors...if i remove my gpu the on board graphics will take control automatically or should i do something...and what when i would want to put my gpu back...will i have to istall the drivers again? thanks for the help...by the way i ran into some connection with this problem and the catalyst control center..i don't know if that's true..
  3. never happens during a game, there is not a pattern actually...it may occur when idle, browsing the net, streaming a video..
  4. Hi, Once a day my pc will randomly freeze and not respond (not even caps), so to recover I press the reset button and it turns off for a second or two and then boots..I get the unexpected system shutdown screen and i start windows normally... I checked my ram with memtest86, my cpu with intel diagnostics, my gpu has the latest updates (amd), my hdd appears 100% healthy (hdd sentinel), i ran antivirus and malware scan...no errors at all.. event viewer: kernel power, event 41, task category 63, keywords 2 BugcheckCode 0 BugcheckParameter1 0x0 BugcheckParameter2 0x0 BugcheckParameter3 0x0 BugcheckParameter4 0x0 SleepInProgress false PowerButtonTimestamp 0 i do not know what to do...it's really frustrating..any help? o.s.: win 7 x64 ultimate sp1
  5. i think you hit a nerve...i get the sound when my fps are 1000+ fps as u said...by the way i get so high fps when i turn vsync off...i'll try to switch it on and see if the noise insists...my booting noise is more like gears turning..it's not that noisy or screeching....i can't record it as suggested because my mobile is obsolete...
  6. Yes i get strange brief sounds when i boot my pc...but after a minute they are gone...i formatted recently from 32 to 64 bit win7 for what it's worth...
  7. Hi! Whenever i start crysis 3 i get a screeching like noise but only for about the first 10 seconds...then everything all right...i suspect it's my hdd given the noise appears when i start the game and then nothing...any thoughts? My specs: hd 7790 oc 1200-1600 2gb cpu i3-3250 hdd: hitachi..something.. 500gb..7200 rpm 4gb ram (2x2) psu: 500 watt
  8. before the upgrade i ran 32 bit even with 4gb.....after the upgrade i did not format so i kept the same os...i was not aware of the ram issue with 4 or more gb until recently...
  9. cpu g550 to i3 3250........nvidia gt 610 to hd 7790........mobo: gigabyte to asus same socket 1155.........same ram 4gb
  10. Hi guys! I changed my mobo, cpu, psu and gpu recently but i kept the same hard disk without formatting it. I built the pc and it runs fine so far, but a friend of mine told me that a format is needed. Is that true? I don't want to format cuz it's a lot of work..I run win7 32bit btw..
  11. what's imc to begin with? from the context i assume that it's related to the cpu...and why to underclock memory..?
  12. so to sum it up...my mobo supports 1866 ram (be it oced or factored) but my cpu can exploit only 1600 of it...right? Therefore i should look for 1600 ones?
  13. thanks mate ! So in practice...if I buy an 8gb i can in theory match it with one of my spares 2gb..but they will run @1333 (the speed of my 2gb)...correct ?
