  1. I have a new hdd, the same as my original one, and when I plug it into my motherboard and power supply my computer won't turn or, or even boot to bios. I have to unplug it for it to boot again. The CPU fan will turn on for a second but then stop again and nothing after that.
  2. Its been happening for about a month now I think, but there seems to be dead spots on my mouse pad. I have cleaned it, and rotated it, but its still there in about the same spot I think. On the deadspot, my mouse stops tracking for a few centimeters before moving again. I've update my mouse software and it didn't help. Can anyone help? Mouse: Mionix Naos 7000
  3. I am now stuck at "Reboot and Select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key". I can get into my BIOS but after exiting I go back to this screen. before this I was at the boot menu but I still couldn't install for some reason, then after I tried installing windows home instead of pro, it brought me to a driver's page which I closed because I didn't know what to do with it. please help
  4. Its there, how do I assign it? I haven't gotten a new drive in a while so im a bit rusty
  5. Ok I'll do that when I get home. Checking the game cache found 2 things that needed fixing. I'm not sure if it downloaded those automatically. Same thing, the verifying didn't fix it.
  6. alright! thank you for the help! I'll do that when I go to bed aka right now because its almost 1 am!
  7. Alright! Thank you for the reply! Heaven: https://gyazo.com/79943a8fc866fac685799f7b3b17636b I didn't notice any stutters in this and it ran very smoothly. I used the extreme preset. Valley https://gyazo.com/1ec62d399641bd6367d4319aa8f2d5be Again ran smoothly on the extreme preset GPU Z right after I started it https://gyazo.com/390d11b2824890b903a96e63f08552ac After a bit with Valley running in the background https://gyazo.com/98c8c9575bd1cf85739dbc77176210c4
  8. Aight so my 970 came in tuesday, and I installed it that day. Everything went well, although I did hear a loud snap when I plugged in the power, but after inspection nothing happened to the card. I realized that I forgot to delete my drivers before I put in the new card, so I did that. Everything going fine except my PC was taking a long time to boot. Once DDU did its thing, I started to try out a few games. I tried the Division, that ran fine (I didn't change any graphical settings in this game). I tried the skiing game called SNOW, put it on max settings, and it ran beautifully. Then came GTA. It runs like shit now. No matter what settings I'm on, after I leave my apartment in game, bam drops to about 27 fps. Even on the settings I was using for my 760 (which ran at 60fps) dropped to below 30!! Also for some reason the render distance is horrible now, I don't know why. I have no clue, and I've looked everywhere online. I forgot to mention that I did reinstall geforce experience after and got the new drivers. My specs without the GPU https://gyazo.com/927c5f89317f9c106c13be07e3817f0d (I now have 16gb of ram) Temps while in GTA (but alt tabbed out checking the temps) were about 40c. My temps on my cpu are fine, as I have monitored that in the past, and haven't changed anything about it. Any help is much appericiated!!
