  1. Thanks for that list, looking good! The reason I picked the 8320 is because he wanted to do some 3D and a few other more demanding stuff and as far as I know most of these applications (ex: Maya) take advantages of more cores. I like your build though, I'll take all that into consideration.
  2. I'd like to but it's also £20 more, I don't know if he can stretch his budget. The 300R looks like a nice case but again it's more expensive. @TheUnknown Do you have any good 990FX motherboard to recommand?
  3. Because of the dimensions issue or just because it's not a very good case for the money?
  4. Hello, someone requested a parts list for a £500 build, for gaming mostly and also a little bit of 3D modeling and that sort of thing. He needs only the computer, not monitor, keyboard or other periphericals. This is what I came up with : PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: AMD FX-8320 3.5GHz 8-Core Processor (£96.40 @ Aria PC) CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler (£22.63 @ Ebuyer) Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P ATX AM3+ Motherboard (£47.94 @ Aria PC) Memory: Patriot Signature 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory (£58.49 @ Ebuyer) Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (£35.94 @ Aria PC) Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 760 2GB TWIN FROZR Video Card (£163.87 @ Scan.co.uk) Case: NZXT Source 210 Elite (White) ATX Mid Tower Case (£38.64 @ Scan.co.uk) Power Supply: EVGA 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply (£35.36 @ CCL Computers) Total: £499.27 Note : According to PcPartPicker, the GPU is too long for the case and might require removing the hard drive bay. Will this be a problem? What do you guys think of that? Anything that could/should be improved? Thanks a lot for the feedback!

    $200 G710+

What's the price for the similar keyboards, like a K70? Is a 710+ that much more expensive or it's just a standard price for you? I got mine for 100$ CAN (usually 150$ but it was on sale), I love it and wouldn't mind paying the full price for it. I wouldn't get it if it was 210$ here and you could find similar ones for 60-70$ less, but if they're all the same price then yes the 710+ would be my choice, it's an amazing keyboard.
  6. Why do you even care about that rating?
  7. Nope, unless they changed it recently. The grey looks very good though, I wasn't convinved by looking at the picture but in real it looks amazing.
  8. Looking pretty good, what's your budget, how much does that cost and where do you live?
  9. It's not that bad and you get used to it, but yeah coming from Florida it might be a little surpise. I've never been to the BC (I'd love to though), what's the weather like in terms of rain/sun? Whenever I hear stories of trips to BC the words "shitty weather" always came up. And do you really get only 10-20C during the summer? Even though you get -30C in the winter in the east, at least you get + 30C in the summer to compensate.^^
  10. What do you mean by integrity? If you want to make sure that the structure is fine, try the W3C validator : http://validator.w3.org/ You can also post the link here, we'll check your source code and see if some things could be improved.
  11. I noticed the same thing in the archived streams of a couple of streamers that I follow. Yes it's annoying but I don't think that Twitch have a choice, they're not the ones to blame for that.
  12. Whichever's cheaper between Newegg, Amazon, NCIX and CanadaComputers. There are a few other ones (like Memory Express, etc - I'm in Canada) but I only order from them if I have to.
  13. The Logitech G710+ has 6 macros/three profiles for a total of 18 (but you can only use 6 of them 'effectively' at the same time unless you fancy switching in between profiles on the fly) and it's a great mechanical keyboard. It's not RGB though, it has a white backlit. Other than that you have the K95 which is a great choice, I currently use a K70 and I love it.
  14. Search on Google for "how to immigrate to Canada", you should be able to find the official websites that will tell you what you need to know, how to apply and everything. Considering that you're in the US currently it should be considerably easier than immigrating from other countries. I live in Canada and I know a lot of people who moved to the US for work, they've been living there for decades and it wasn't really hard or complicated. Out of curiosity, where were you thinking of going? What province?
