  1. The SSDs listed above are the only ones available in stores near me within my budget. Plus I wanna go with SATA because I will stick it in a laptop in the future.
  2. Hi, this my first time buying an SSD. Here are my options: Adata SSD Premier SP550 240 GB Sandisk Plus 240 GB Silicon Power Velox V55 240 GB Crucial MX300 275 GB All same price, except Crucial is little bit more expensive . Thanks.
  3. @Naeaes I dont know much about electronics, but I think the grounding is done by the yellow wire in this picture: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Forward_Converter_ATX_PC_Power_Supply_IMG_1092.jpg so keeping a part of the case can still serve as ground, right?
  4. 200W won't be enough to run a 960 unfortunately. How about if I dont remove the PSU casing completely? just the top where the fan is mounted and make sides a little shorter? it would still ground right?
  5. I'm scared of messing with the PSU too, but even with an SFX PSU (which is the smallest one I know) it's still too big. The fan will be mounted on the aluminum case. Maybe I should put a rubber sheet under it for isolation.
  6. Hi, I'm planning to build a Gaming Desktop that I can carry in my 17" laptop backpack. I'm a little flexible on width and length, but height has to be 5cm max. How I plan to make this happen: mini ITX motherboard low-profile cpu cooler gtx 960 with rear blower, it will be horizontal and I'll use a flexible pci-e extender the psu will be disassembled, I will get rid of its case and I will reassemble it inside my build in a more compact way, since psu's have a lot of empty space inside a DYI aluminum case What do you guys think? is this project doable or it's crazy? Are there any builds out there that resemble to what i'm trying to make? Any ideas/concerns are very welcome, thanks
  7. Solved: the problem was the usb drive, if you have a 32-bit system and a 64-bit iso, 'Windows USB Download Tool' will copy the files but it won't make it bootable. There is a workaround though.
  8. Yes The one from microsoft : https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/windows-usb-dvd-download-tool
  9. Hi, I have a new PC with 'asrock h81m-vg4', I'm trying to boot from USB to install windows, but it's not working. When I enter the UEFI > Boot > Boot Option # 1 , I get these options: - AHCI PO wd10ezzx-60m2na0 - USB: generic flash disk 8.07 - UEFI: generic flash disk 8.07 - disabled I tried the 'USB: generic flash disk' and 'UEFI: generic flash disk' and both didnt work.
  10. I'm down to these 2: http://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00KFAGCWK/?tag=pcp0f-20 http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820147372 which one is better?
  11. Hi, I need recommendations for an SSD, location Canada, budget 150 CAD. Thank you
  12. Yes, or you can turn it off when you sleep, and then continue when you wake up. If you are worried about the noise, you can turn off the fans since there is no heat output. that will work

What if it's 2 different internet service subscriptions? one over WiFi and one over Ethernet... or 3G?
