  1. Thanks for the info. You might have to secure erase and sanitise the drive to get performance back. Nice! Thanks for all the info. And yeah it's really good value on black friday
  2. Have you done the firmware update?
  3. Hey, I'm trying to decide between this and the SN850, is your 980 Pro still performing well? Thanks
  4. Hi, I'm having trouble deciding between these 3. Planning a 5600x build. The B550 boards are around £180, the X570 Tomahawk is £200, so not much more. I don't mind paying more for it but I'm not keen on there being a chipset fan, could be loud and annoying. But at the same time the fact it's just £20 more makes it harder to justify getting one of the B550 boards. So yeah I'm really not sure what to do. What would you guys suggest? Thanks.
  5. Hi guys, planning to do a new build soon, but the case I'm looking at getting is quite compact (Corsair 220T Airflow) so I'm not sure my current PSU will fit (165mm long) with the HDD cage in place. So if it doesn't I'll need something more compact, ideally no more than 140mm. I've done a fair amount of research and the ADATA XPG Core Reactor 750W looked like the best option, but was just wondering if I'd missed anything and if any others are worth considering? I'd like something that's good quality and quiet too. Thanks.
  6. thanks, i might get that if the keyboard i get doesnt have volume keys. is it possible to make it so that it's a combination, like ctrl+numpad- and ctrl+numpad+? just cause i like to have all my keys available. well i guess i shouldn't get that keyboard then. i like the one you linked, and its a very nice price. thanks, they're over what i wanted to spend but not by too much. i'm not too sure about the first one, i don't like that it's not printed on top of the key. the 2nd and 3rd ones look great though. thanks also you guys are worrying me about razer products now :L. are they really that bad for everyone? surely if they broke within 6 months people wouldn't buy them? my old keyboard (logitech k360) lasted 3 years and i used my computer all the time, and i was hoping it would last a little bit longer then that. but 6 months...? thats just crap. also i found this keyboard: corsair raptor k30: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-CH-9000043-UK-Performance-Backlit-Keyboard/dp/B00FLTW8W8 only thing i don't like about it is its red LED backlit. but tbh seeing as thats only there if the backlight on i really shouldn't complain. what do you guys think of it? thanks!
  7. thanks, that keyboard looks nice .
  8. im not spending over £100 on a keyboard... all i need is a high key rollover so i can press many keys at the same time, and volume keys so i can change the audio level in game. my old keyboard, logitech wireless k360 worked great, it had 5 key rollover which was high enough for me and had volume keys. unfortunately it broke, well it started getting extremely laggy. i'm 16, i don't have a job, so spending over £100 on a keyboard would just be stupid. EDIT: im not 100% sure what i said about the logitech keyboard k360 is correct. keyboard key rollover seems to be very complicated...
  9. hey guys, im looking for a new gaming keyboard, all i need is volume keys (mute, down,up) and to be under £40 thanks!
  10. hey guys, i'm looking for a new keyboard for gaming. my old logitech k360 wireless keyboard i really liked and i found it good for gaming. unfortunately after a few years the wireless connectivity sort of just... broke. so now i'm using a hp keyboard i bought off the internet as a temporary solution until i found something i liked. unfortunately this keyboard isn't very good for gaming. it only has a 3 key rollover and not all 3 key combinations work which is very annoying. my k360 had a 5 key rollover, and that wasn't even a gaming keyboard. the only thing important to me is key rollover (how many keys the keyboard can recognise you are pressing at one time). it has to be high (like my k360 or higher). and i'd also like volume keys, and a numberpad, and a caps lock and num lock light. and a windows 8 start button logo (i am going to guess that every new keyboard will have the new windows 8 logo anyway). also i don't want anything that looks too aggressive. my max budget is around £40. what i'm thinking of getting is the corsair raptor k30, but the style is a bit aggressive and has a lot of features i won't use (macros, windows lock key, etc...). http://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-CH-9000043-UK-Performance-Backlit-Keyboard/dp/B00FLTW8W8/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1406941540&sr=1-1&keywords=k30 it's a shame that companies don't advertise the keyboard rollover of their keyboards, i mean like there is no way of knowing the logitech k360 has a 5 key rollover from the specifications. so if anyone has any other recommendations i'd be grateful. my budget is around £40 but i'd like to spend as little as possible (still has to be good though). thanks everyone!!!! EDIT: im not 100% sure what i said about the logitech keyboard k360 is correct. keyboard key rollover seems to be very complicated...
  11. that looks good, i'll see if i can find it somewhere else than amazon as it says 'usually dispatched within 1 to 2 months' . what do you guys think of the ones i linked in my original post?
  12. well it's just i can't find any reviews about that monitor and i'd rather not spend my money on something i know nothing about.
  13. i like that except for that it's a glossy screen. sorry, i should have mentioned i don't like glossy screens.
  14. what do you think of that monitor? i can't really find much information or reviews about it.
  15. hey guys, i've been looking to get a new monitor and i've narrowed down my decision to 3 monitors. i'm a gamer but i don't have the money for a really expensive 1ms 144hz monitor. i've also decided i want to get an ips/pls monitor, because even though they're not generally bought for gaming they aren't too bad if you get a fast 5ms one. and tbh my current monitor is 2ms, last one was 5ms and i couldn't tell any difference. and i like the fact colours & viewing angles are better. these are the 3 monitors i've found: Asus VX239H: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Asus-VX239H-23-inch-Widescreen-Monitor/dp/B00D6L4Y9I/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1406925057&sr=8-1&keywords=asus+vx239h Samsung S24D390HL: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-S24D390HL-23-6-inch-Monitor/dp/B00IJS6OUA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1406921393&sr=8-1&keywords=pls+monitor Asus MX239H: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Asus-MX239H-LED-backlit-Monitor-80000000/dp/B00A4K9KVG/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top the first one there's only 1 left in stock and i really want a monitor and im buying one of them tomorrow, so might not be able to choose that one (Asus VX239H). please tell me your opinions on these monitors and which one you would choose and why. also if there's any other good similar monitors please let me know. thanks everyone! .
