  1. Thanks, but I intended to dabble in overclocking for her, which I think would call for a better cooler? I'm not sure -is newbie- She is not an overclocker, but I thought I could give it a try . Thank you for the tips! I'll check that build thank you!
  2. She runs Facebook games all day.. erryday. She also plays point and clicks. She recently played The book of unwritten tales 2 on my system. I'd like her to be able to play whatever she could want without any issues.
  3. My mom does light gaming, Facebook junk, web browsing, watches Netflix and such. Her total budget is $800, which is including a monitor, mouse and keyboard. I figured I'd add some money so she can afford the peripherals. Anyways this is what I have so far http://pcpartpicker.com/user/ily2hoe/saved/rsctt6 Any suggestions?
  4. Thanks bud! Any specific evga power supply?
  5. http://pcpartpicker.com/user/ily2hoe/saved/YGMdnQ Those parts are what I have so far. I could really use some suggestions on the final touches like the power supply, cooling options, thermal compound. Whatever else haha.. if anyone can help me out I'd be mighty thankful.
  6. Heh.. my bad .. What's done is done though.
  7. I'm a bit stuck on my build.. This is actually my first attempt, but I'm kind of at a standstill. I guess it's because I'm at the graphics card, which is the most expensive bit so I'd really not muck it up. Here is what I have so far http://pcpartpicker.com/user/ily2hoe/saved/YGMdnQthe parts from that list are what I already have so no going back on those haha. If anyone could help me out on suggestions to finish this puppy up I'd be mighty grateful. I was thinking the 980ti, but if I don't have to go that expensive then I'm open to suggestions thnx.
  8. Thank you for the help guys! I said $1200, but that's just my current budget. I intend to sink more resources into this computer once I have a bit more money. For now all I'm worried about is having a computer up and running, which is why I had the 4790k in mind. I'm not really knowledgeable about all this computer stuff just yet, but I hope to be haha. I intend to build this system on my own so I can learn more. Anyways, thanks for the help! I'm going to look into the parts that have been suggested.
  9. Hi, I'm a newbie when it comes to pc parts and knowing which goes with which. My current budget is $1200. I don't have a problem with upgrading my pc as I go so for now my main goal is to have a pc up and running that is decent with gaming. I have a big problem with wanting the best of the best, which is why I don't have this system build yet.. I need someone to knock some sense into me! In the future I hope to use this pc for normal every day stuff, multitasking, light to moderate video/photo editing, and gaming . Currently, I only have the case selected, which is the phanteks enthoo pro. I was thinking of going with the Intel Core i7-4790k for the cpu because it seems like it would be good for gaming and future video editing ventures, but I'm open to suggestions. I really have no idea what else to go with. I don't have preferred brands. So yeah, anyone that is up for pitching in some ideas please do !
